Colliford Lake

I thought I’d pop up some photos of my recent trip to Colliford Lake while I’m waiting for my muse to come back.

Colliford Lake is in Cornwall, UK. There are a couple of other pictures here.

Yes, we’ve had quite a hot summer but I guess it’s close enough to the lake that there is plenty of water to keep the grass green!

    Beautiful day, beautiful photos.
Who or what is your muse? Why are you waiting for its return? Why did it leave you?
The road in photo, is that the type of roads you drive on there?

My muse is a certain indefinable something. I guess I was just in the mood that I couldn’t get interested in writing anything.
The road in the photo is not what we drive on here! I think that’s some sort of access track.

Ok, I didn’t know how rural you lived. Muse question were asked in jest, my humor did not transfer well. Sorry.

No, my fault. I’ve been a bit “off” just lately, stress and whatnot.
We do have some pretty small roads! One thing about Cornwall is that we have a lot of quite narrow roads with huge hedges either side. It can feel quite claustrophobic at times! There is the one main road through the centre of the county which runs from Penzance to central London and a few other largish roads, but apart from that the roads can get quite small.
No place for huge cars 🙂

It looks so… Tropical.. I imagined Briitan to be a bit more like Holland. (you know land of the eternal greys) but either way lovely pictures!

We do get our fair share of greys! That was a particularly lovely day 🙂

Thanks for describing your county of Cornwall. I googled, mapped and read some of Cornwalls history.
    America has nothing to compare.
Years ago I read about Scotland and one/same question came to mind about Cornwall, was Cornwall forested at one time? Where are all the old tall trees?
Hope your life is doing better with less stress.

That’s very true about the trees. We have beaches, cliffs, moorland and little lakes but no forests! Just a few little woods. I don’t know where they all went 😦
Scotland (where I spent all my holidays as a child) – that’s mountains and forests. It’s beautiful, but so are parts of America – the mountains and deserts and so on. Everything is on a large scale!
I just arranged a mortgage to buy a little house, so unfortunately stress levels will be running high for the next several months 😦 but thanks for your kind words 🙂
