Chain Writing Episode 15

Here is my next instalment for Kerrie Salsac’s excellent chain writing game.

A fairly obvious plot twist, but now it’s decision time for Cindy!

To catch up on the story so far, click here (I don’t know how to make the little froggie work 😦 ).

Cindy dropped onto the mossy ground outside the window and turned to help Aadila, who slipped, hitting the ground hard.

“What is it, are you alright?” whispered Cindy.

“My ankle,” sobbed Aadila.

“Probably just sprained. Can you walk? We must get away from here.”

Aadila stood painfully – she could walk, but Cindy realised she would need help.

“Lean on me,” she said and they headed away from the house.

A woman’s sob echoed from an upstairs window. Cindy looked askance at Aadila.

“There are others. But we must escape! Please, I cannot walk unaided!”

Cindy looked at Aadila, then back at the house.

I thought I’d leave the next writer with a tricky decision to make 🙂
Your game has really taken off!

oooh what a decision. Survival instinct or humanity instinct. I’m tempted to put a response, but I only have one more part to use so I think I am going to have to wait.

I’m tempted so that it carries on again. It’s that decision though.

Yes, a bit of a dilemma for poor Cindy, as if she hasn’t been through enough!

Darnit! It’s always the ankle in a critical situation. Options close down really fast when that happens. It seems Cindy is adjusting and ready to take a leadership role. I like that you left her decision to go to the house or not with the next writer. This is in the best tradition of cliffhangers.

The ankle was a fairly obvious plot twist after jumping out a window but I wanted to ensure that Cindy had a clear decision to make – help the woman who helped her or try to help the others.
I thought I’d leave the next writer with that little dilemma 🙂

Nice! Love the cliffhanger. Now off to see her decision! For the Inlinkz I just copied the picture of the little frog, pasted it into the post, and linked it to the URL where all our stories are gathered. Hope that helps!

I did wonder about copying the picture. It would be nice to get the counter as well but the picture of the frog is better than just a text link, thanks.
The next part has just been posted I think so I’m off to find out what she decides!
