CWG Week 5 Episode 15

It’s week 5 of Kerrie’s Chain Writing Game! This week sounded like a budding romance, but it didn’t take long for everything to go horribly wrong.

He’s Behind You – episode 15

“Any clue how we’re getting out of here, honey?” asked Ben.

“Excuse me?” growled Kelly.

“Um, Kelly, I meant.”

“Out the window,” she replied. “We’ll slip along the ledge and down the fire escape, it’s only two offices over.”

Kelly grabbed a chair and threw it, smashing the window. Cold air rushed in as she swung herself out, looking back at Ben and holding out her hand.

“Um, out the window?” asked Ben.

“Yes. Problem?”

“I’m not great with heights,” mumbled Ben. To accentuate his point he broke wind again. Kelly rolled her eyes.

Three of the creatures smashed through the door.

I often punctuate my points with flatulence.

Poor chap. He must really hate heights. He may not have a choice, however.

No. The wind coming through the window was no match for the wind going out 😉

Color me surprised, things don’t turn out OK?

I’m just kidding. I love the way your stories end up. I’m weird like that. 🙂

I was expecting some sort of Hugh Grant-type romantic comedy, but then suddenly there were icky monsters and fountains of blood everywhere. Go figure 😉

I was quite looking forward to doing a rom-com for a change. As long as someone died horribly in hilarious circumstances, obviously 🙂

I’m not sure why, but in these kind of group efforts, everything ALWAYS goes horribly wrong 🙂

Ha! I like Ben as the comic relief to Kelly’s action hero 🙂 That first exchange was great as it told us so much about Kelly in so few words. Excellent!

She’s not the sort of girl you call “honey-bun” or “sweetums”, certainly.

I expect he’ll be less fond of getting his throat torn out, though.
