Weekly Photo Challenge: Street Life

Here are some photos for this week’s photo challenge, which asks us to show some aspect of street life. I usually find old photos which are relevant to the prompt, but I was in town this morning and took these specially for the occasion!

Every Saturday there is a little market in my local city of Truro. There is locally-caught fish, meats, flowers, crafts and even an olive stall! I was going to buy flowers for Mother’s Day tomorrow but I ended up buying them in the supermarket instead.

A teeming metropolis of twenty thousand or so people, Truro is the only city in Cornwall. Today was cold and raining 😦 . These were taken at around 9 am this morning using my phone.

Nice “digital enhancement” in the first two photos! We’re experiencing the same dreary weather in my part of the world.

It’s almost April – time for some warmth and sunshine I think.

Yep. It’s not usually this cold though, I’m sure. Double figures would be nice to see us into April!

Go on, rub it in! We saw some sun a few days ago, but apart from that this year has been pretty dismal so far.

Even though it looks cold and damp, the photos are beautiful and so full of colour. Very nice Ali… very nice indeed 🙂

It was pretty cold and damp but the market always brings a splash of colour. I’m glad you liked my photos 🙂

Great photos, thanks for the peek into your world. Have you d/l any photo apps? I’ve read that there are a few good ones.

I have one for my phone imaginatively called “A Better Camera”. It has lots of settings, though I haven’t really messed about with it yet. I saw it featured on BBC’s “Click” segment a few weeks ago, and they reckoned it was good (and I think it was free when I got it).

These are great! 🙂 I meant to get back into the swing of things and go back to posting my weekly photos…but I just didn’t get to it this week. Work is still insane…as soon as things get a little more under control I’ll be able to post again.

I’m having a bit of trouble with loads of work stuff as well at the moment. Hopefully I will find time for my Friday Fictioneers though 🙂
