Update from the DraliGarden
The bluebells have gone away for this year 😦 but some more random flowers have arrived!
It turns out the pot in the back didn’t have daffodils in after all.
What could it be? Answers on a postcard. Or in the comments.
There’s also action out the front of the house. Some rather cool yellow and purple things have popped up. Again, if anyone knows what they are…
There will be more updates from the DraliGarden as flowers appear!

My uninformed opinion is they look like calla lillies and poppies. I’m sure to be way off, so I’ll just stick with saying they are beautiful instead 🙂

I think the above ladies are probably right. Hopefully you have a few more nice surprises to come. Beautiful pics 🙂

Who knows what might pop up next! I’m a little worried there will be nothing left to come for summer. Time will tell!

I agree. Looks like calla lilies. I also looked it up. They can be finicky, so you have a nice head start on raising them!

Thanks, I’ll have to Google them to make sure I keep them alive and well for next year. I’m not much of a gardener, to be honest.

Yeah, it’s a calla lily. Good for funerals. Just sayin’. Posted that ever so creepy story I warned you about. Hope it lives up to expectations. If not, save the calla lily for me.

I usually think of lilies as “the funeral flower”. They also look nice in the garden, though!
I have an email notification of your story but I’m a bit behind in my reading at the moment. I will get to it asap though, and I’m sure it will live up to your “creepiness” promise 🙂

They just look like flowers to me. 🙂

To me too! How about that. It always amazes me how people can look at a picture of a flower and know what it is. I do daisies, dandelions, roses and snowdrops. Everything else is “ooh, pretty” 🙂

The orange ones are California Poppies… the pink/purple ones could possibly be a type of geranium but I can’t really tell the picture is too small… (when I tried to make it bigger it turned on its side and got blurry). Lovely gardens though, lots of green. I have cement and an ugly log wall in my back ‘yard’…

Thanks! I didn’t realise the pictures would turn sideways when enlarged. I used the WP “edit picture” thing to rotate them and obviously it only works when displaying inside the post.
Most of my gardens are sort of gravel-slate stuff but there are a couple of flower beds and some pots.

Cala Lily’s are also Easter flowers and make lovely cut blooms if stems are left long in clear a clear case. You need a dozen or so. They hang or droop gracefully.
Yes a California poppy … in Cornwall, wt*?
Big Guy, ck online for their care.

I can imagine they’d look nice in a vase. I only have a few in a pot though, and I doubt they’ll all be out at the same time! I’ll check them out on the internet.
Looks like California Poppies have migrated from California.

The first are Calla lilies for sure, Draliman. The front garden looks very cosy and solid. Can’t say what the red flowers are, because I can’t hardly see them. Whatever they are, they look lovely 🙂

There are three of these lilies out there now 🙂
I only have tiny little gardens but they’re mine and there seems to be quite a number of pretty flowers.

Al, Looks like you have a good start on your flower garden. If the ground in the beds isn’t good, you can go to a gardening shop and buy enriched soil for them. Knowing how people in England love to garden, I’d say there should be plenty of shops where they can also give you good info on your present flowers. Good gardening. 🙂 —Susan

The soil seems to be performing well so far, but there are certainly a couple of very good garden centres nearby.
I have some more flowers coming up now, I’ll need to post some pictures soon for identification purposes!
