Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge – Crooked and Squiggly

I haven’t done a “Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge” before, but I took a couple of photos yesterday which I thought fit with this one quite well. They’re not great as I am just a “happy snapper” with a camera phone, though I am getting into this photography thing, so a decent camera is now on my list (along with new TV and new bed).

The challenge is “crooked and squiggly”. I took these pictures at Trelissick Garden, which is owned by the National Trust (I’m on holiday for two weeks so I took a wander there yesterday – more photos to follow).

Crooked Tree 1

I’m not sure why the branches grew like this! In search of the sun?

This second shot is a bit dodgy, light-wise. As I said I’m a “happy snapper” and didn’t realise that the sun was in the wrong place! In my defence, I could hardly see the screen on my phone at all, and I was wearing prescription sunglasses which made things worse.

This tree is quite crooked, but at the same time has a sort of symmetry about it.

Wow! That’s one interesting tree! Like the goddess with the many arms on either side of it!

Looks like you’re enjoying your holiday so far 🙂

I also thought that it looked like someone/thing opening their arms wide.
My holiday is going fine so far, though 2 weeks is going to be a bit too long I think (I have no choice – we have to take 10 consecutive days) 🙂

Al, Good and interesting photos. I haven’t had a worthwhile camera for ages. Some day I may buy one again. I hope you continue to enjoy your holiday. 🙂 —Susan

I’ve always thought that it would be a waste of money for me, but I now enjoy taking photos and posting them here, so it’s back on the list!
The weather looks okay for the next few days so hopefully I will have options during my holiday for days out.

Yes – woodland, moorland, cliffs and beaches. Everything except mountains, really.

More great pictures, can’t wait to see what you come up with when you get a “real” camera.

Prescription sunglasses are the worst, I ended up returning mine.

Thanks! It might be a while before I can afford a real camera though 🙂

My sunglasses are okay, but even inside I couldn’t take them off as I left my normal glasses in the car!

Like a trip to Entwood. Do they talk?

They didn’t say anything to me but maybe they were undercover Ents.

That tree looks like a squirrel’s version of a fun park!

Those trees are octopus trees. They are (or can be) trained to grow like that. I have photos of a couple of them. I never thought of them for this challenge, but they are perfect. 🙂

I’ve never heard of those, thanks! I just Googled some pictures of octopus trees and they look very much like the one in my picture.

I would love to climb in that octopussy… Granny never sees anything when she takes pictures. She calls them all Lucky shots 😀 Pawkisses for a Happy Weekend 🙂

It would be quite a fun climb I think! Most of my photos are also “lucky shots”, but I’m trying to put a bit more thought into it now.
