A Morning at Godrevy

Yesterday I went for a visit to Godrevy, another location owned by the National Trust. In contrast to Trelissick, Godrevy is all cliffs and beaches.

I’ll let the pictures do the talking 🙂

I see you’re making good use of your holiday. Wonderful shots, I love the flowers with the barbed wire 🙂

I thought it made for an interesting shot – I’m trying to think more about what I’m photographing 🙂

Al, Those are beautiful photos. You’re quite good at photography. You should get a really good camera. Although the one you used took lovely photos. You seem to be thoroughly enjoying your holiday and traveled to a very scenic place. Well done. 🙂 —Susan

Thanks! Yay for the Samsung Galaxy S3 camera phone 🙂 Unfortunately this year’s bonus will be mostly paying off the “over-my-budget” money I had to borrow from my credit cards to buy my house 😦 but a camera is definitely on the list. When it’s time I’ll ask for help here – there are loads of great photographers on WP who can help me choose a camera.

I’m quite pleased that I’ve managed to get out and about a bit this holiday!

Seems like such a perfect place to get away from everyday slumber. Can almost smell the air 🙂

It was very bracing – hot sun but quite a strong breeze coming in off the Atlantic.

Gorgeous! Reminds me of Land’s End.

It’s been years since I was at Land’s End (it’s a 50 mile drive!), but a lot of the Cornish coast is quite similar to this.

How lovely. I would love to leave footprints in some of that perfect untouched sand!!! 😀

We’ve got loads of perfect untouched sand to choose from in Cornwall! There are the touristy beaches and then there are the more hidden locations.

Oooh the bit more hidden locations couldd be much more fun. You could go with a shovel and an old blanket rolled up so it looks like there’s a body in it…. you could have loads of fun asking people how to get down to the beach 😉

There are plenty of coves and beaches you can only reach by boat but I’m sure the locals would have a great time sending me round in circles 🙂

Great photography DrAli! Very impressed!. No sign of people about too except for one car! Is that your white car by the sand?

Thanks! It’s amazing what you can do with a camera phone these days.
That car by the sand is actually one of two RNLI Lifeguard vans. Godrevy is quite popular with surfers.

That’s taken with a camera phone? Brilliant! Lovely scenery, and you have a great eye for it.

Thanks! I’m hoping to get a proper camera at some point. I have a point and click somewhere but after I moved house it’s gone AWOL. I’m sure I saw it somewhere…
