Drimericks – Angels

Welcome to my new series – Drali Limericks, or Drimericks! I know it will be a series because I’ve written more than one so far. I’ve rather optimistically categorised this as “Poems” 🙂 . Each one will be accompanied by a beautifully crafted and professionally drawn DraliDoodleTM.

There once was a fellow named Derby
Who went on the rob on his Harley
But he never envisioned
He’d be caught and imprisoned
By Angels and some dude named Charlie.

The world needs more limericks. And illustrated, too. It doesn’t get better than this!

    I thought limericks mentioned Nantucket
And also something with a bucket
    But yours was a delight
While my attempt is a fright
So I’m just going to say…never mind!

Seriously, good job and I am looking forward to this series 🙂

      🙂
Are we having a “limerick-off” (like a dance-off but with limericks)? Cool! Your limerick is fun 🙂
I’m glad you liked it, I have another ready to go.

🙂 I’m smiling over this. It’s good and reminds me of when I was younger…sitting round the supper table circling around making up limericks.
You doodle quite well for a grown-up 😛

Ali, Looks like this series will be another winner. Supper doesn’t rhyme so I’ll write that I foresee it’ll be better than the limericks at dinner. I liked the Draili Doodles. Pieces are always classier when illustrated. Well done. 🙂 —Susan

      Yay you!
I’d actually forgotten that in the US words like “Derby” and “clerk” are pronounced with an “er” rather than “ahr” sound. I guess that means some of my US audience thought I’d mucked up the rhyme 😦
