Cee’s Black and White Challenge – Numbers

This is a post for Cee’s Black and White Challenge. This week the topic is to post pictures of anything with numbers on.

I’ve never tried this before, but my new camera has a black and white setting on it. My photos aren’t very creative, just things from around the house with numbers on, but I was excited to try out the setting on my camera! I shrunk each down by about 60% for uploading.

Click on a picture to see a large-size slideshow type thing :-).

Well done, I especially like the keyboard with the lines and angles.

Thanks, I tried to get an interesting angle for that shot. The flash highlighted a lot of dust below the screen, though :-). I suppose it added a certain something…

The keyboard photo is really good. It looks as if all the keys have white sides. What is the little “golf tee” thingy just above the letter B?

Thanks! That’s the roller ball thingy which you can use instead of the mouse pad (but no-one ever does).

I take a lot of keyboard pictures too. I also have illumination and it makes great pictures, color and black and white. My camera has (oddly) a sepia setting, but not true black and white. I have to make it black and white with software.

Mine has twenty-odd settings for stuff like this and includes B&W, sepia and “old world”.

Good photos, Ali. That’s neat that your new camera has all those different settings. It turns photography into unique artwork. 🙂 — Suzanne

Nice to see you here. I like the typewriter, too, especially the contrast between the keys and the light on the sides.
