Sharing My World 2015 Week 28

It’s time for my Share Your World post, with questions posed as ever by Cee.

share-your-world2

What is your favourite comfort snack food?
That would have to be chocolate, I guess! Ice cream works too. I don’t know that I’d call it comfort food, exactly. Sometimes my body just says, “hey, give me sugar, dude!”.

If you had to spend one weekend alone in a single store but could remove nothing, which store would you pick? (except food or beverage)
I guess a shop with video games and such. I’m sure that would keep me busy for a couple of days!

What was the largest city you have been to? What is the one thing you remember most?
London. I remember getting lost in Harrod’s, which is also the largest shop I’ve ever been to! I also remember how much I hate the underground (=subway). Too cramped, too many people all pushing and shoving.

Finish this sentence:  It has recently come to my attention that…
… my back garden is getting out of control. I guess that’s my job for this morning.

For me comfort foods are things like chili and stew and fresh bread… but as of late it’s been to hot to even think of eating anything heavy and so ice cream has become my new best friend… 🙂

No matter how full up I am, there’s always room for ice cream 🙂

Good answers, Ali. I’m afraid my favorite comfort food for snacking is anything with a lot of calories, something I shouldn’t keep around.

I don’t have any chocolate in the house for the same reason.

Comfort food for me would have to be grilled sausages with mash and onion gravy — or even just a big bowl of mash. I think I’d also hate the underground. Even going to the Wednesday markets where you have several thousand people in close proximity all pushing and shoving sets my teeth on edge. I’d come and help you with your back garden if I lived close enough 🙂

Go get those weeds Ali, when you come back you can have a cup of coffee, or ice cream. Or both! lol

I did. And I did! In the end I went mental with the Round-Up. Hopefully I didn’t squirt too many actual flowers 🙂 It’s actually looking pretty tidy at the moment out there.

Our yard is suffering because of the 95+ degree heat. Weeds are growing and it’s too hot to do anything about it. Thanks for sharing.

We’re hitting low 20’s which is hot for here but not nearly as hot as you’re getting! (According to Google 95F is 35C, which is way hotter than I’ve ever experienced anywhere.)

I don’t like undergrounds … not London, not Boston, not New York. It’s not just the crowding, heat, noise, and general discomfort. It’s also the stink. Yuck.

I’d rather walk up above ground if at all possible. I guess I’d get used to it if I used it every day.

An ice cream cornet goes down well at any time, but in the summer, who can restst? I’m a big fan of freshly baked, warm, crusty bread, too – buttered, of course. Totally agree with you about London’d underground – just claustrophobic! Hope you made good progress with your gardening.

Freshly baked bread is lovely, and smells great too! My garden actually looks quite tidy for a change.

I wanted my son to see what “peak hour” could really mean and he won’t ever think Melbourne is crowded again. They have men with gloves to help pack people into the trains.

Ice cream is food? I didn’t want to know that. I thought it was essential, like water… 😉

Since it’s mostly water (I assume, since it’s wet) we can probably reclassify it!

Comfort food=carbs, essentially. Ice cream is health food, seeing as it has calcium and sometimes fruit in it.

Hope you got your garden under control. Did an anonymous neighbor bring it your attention, or the presence of grazing wildlife in your backyard? LOL 😀

I like your take on ice cream. Yeah, health food :-).

Sometimes my neighbour asks me to cut back the growth coming through my fence onto the path, but I pre-empted her this time!
