Sharing My World 2015 Week 42

Here is my contribution to Cee’s Share Your World.

Are you usually late, early, or right on time?
No usually about it. I’m always early. I calculate how long I’ll need based on time of day and so on and then add some time on in case of getting stuck behind tractors and whatnot. Usually if I’m going for a meal with my parents, I’ll arrive, sit in the car for 10 minutes, then go into the restaurant 10 minutes early.

The further I have to go, the earlier I will typically be.

If you were or are a writer do you prefer writing short stories, poems or novels?
If I were a writer I would probably prefer to write short stories. Novels sound like they would take far too much planning!

Where did you live at age ten?  Is it the same place or town you live now?
At age ten I lived in Truro, Cornwall. I’ve moved all around but now I’m back in Cornwall, about 7 miles from Truro. Full circle!

Would you rather be able to fly or breathe under water?
Who’s cooler? Superman or Aquaman? I rest my case.

Yeah! Who needs invulnerability, super strength, the power of flight and laser beam eyes when every minnow in the sea must do your bidding. Awesome!

All that, yet he still can’t figure out “underwear first, then pants”.

And I would just watch yourself next time you go on some of your walks…maybe don’t get too close to any koi ponds, eh?

          I didn’t say he was smart 🙂
Ooh, now I’m worried about walking close to water. I wonder if Aquaman is one of those superheroes who holds a grudge?

The Arriving early…. sounds so like my timing!

    The planning a novel… yep!

Planning a whole novel makes me feel ill! I would just want to write away and hope for the best.

If The Man of Steel ever went underwater, he’d probably rust. Aquaman all the way!

That’s true, that would be awkward and a bit embarrassing.

I think I’d like to fly – minus the aeroplane. I could take some fantastic aerial photos. And I agree with you about being early. It can be a pain sometimes waiting for others to arrive. As for writing a novel, it does take a lot of time to plan, but I’m sure you’d handle it very well. it’s just a question of wanting to …

I didn’t think of aerial photography – that would be fun! Maybe one say I’ll try a little novel…

I’m an early kind of person too, but Garry isn’t so we “average the difference” and usually get there more or less on time. As for breathing under water, I think I’ll go with flying 🙂

That sounds like a good compromise 🙂
Most votes have gone to flying this week.

Ali, you are a writer. Say to yourself, “I’m a writer.” Your flash fiction and great answers to questions proves it. Claim the title! You don’t have to be published to be an author, either. You can claim that title as well. In fact, you are published. You literally publish every time you hit that “Publish” button on WordPress. The “Free Dictionary” defines “Author” as : “One who writes or constructs an electronic document or system, such as a website.” 🙂 — Suzanne
