Buster Must Die!

This is my contribution for Evil Squirrel’s Third Annual Contest of Whatever.

Despite the fact that I can’t draw, I’ve entered a story in pictures! The only rule this year is that we must include Buster, and Buster Must Die! You can’t tell from my pictures, but Buster is a possum, who dies on a regular basis so this is nothing new for the poor chap. In fact, having to keep him alive would have been a bigger challenge.

Thank you for making Buster much more appreciative of the fact that I generally only put him through one hardship a week! I knew you would come up with something appropriately gruesome for my contest! Best of luck defending your CoW title!

I thought since Buster’s the star of this year’s CoW I should try to do him justice! Though after the way I drew him he’s probably glad to finally slip away…

But do not fear! He’ll be back! Like the monsters in our favorite scary movies, he shall return … perhaps a little bit angry? Hmm. Good one!!

LOL! Brilliant! I love the drawings and in particular the drone. Sir “Ownsalot” HaHaHaHa.
The sound affects are also very entertaining. Have you considered doing more toons?

Great drawings. If only it was that easy to catch up to a possum. especially the ones that are eating my grapes and peaches, which ain’t even ripe enough for us to eat yet.
    Enjoyed your story.

Aw.. what a story.. Loved the story. The illustrations are good, of course, I couldnt make out Buster as a possum. But, once I imagined it correctly, the rest was good.

Do you remember the clay character Mr. Bill from (I think) the 1970s, on the Saturday Night Live television show? Seems like poor Buster is a modern Mr. Bill. Always getting hurt (or maimed or . . .). He shouldn’t have run in the first place; that started the whole ordeal as far as I can see. As a storyline, this is oddly pleasing, Dr. Ali. Talk about feeling conflict(ed)!

I Googled “Mr Bill” – he does sound a lot like Buster! I vaguely remember Friday (later Saturday) Night Live from the late 1980s (stand up comedy) but I think Mr Bill was maybe only in America?
Buster shouldn’t have run, but he’s so used to unfortunate things happening, he wasn’t taking any chances 🙂

Ha! Now I will always think of Mr. Bill when I kill off Buster. Or at least “Ohhhhh nooooooooo!!!!!”

Clever as usual. It takes courage to step out of your comfort zone and do something like draw for all to see. Good for you. And you don’t know, you could win. I mean Buster keeps coming back to life. It just proves anything can happen, even the improbable.
