Sharing My World 2016 Week 7
It’s time again for Cee’s Share Your World.
What are you a “natural” at doing?
I can’t really think of anything I’m a “natural” at. I’m pretty good at having naps at the drop of a hat I guess.
Would you prefer a one floor house or multiple levels?
I like having an upstairs to go to at the end of the day. However, I do worry about the stairs when I get older. I may end up in a single-storey house at some point in the future.
Okay at the moment…
What was your favourite subject in school?
Physics, I guess. I also liked English, but only half of it. Lessons (and exams) were split into “English Language” and “English Literature”. It was the literature I never got on with. All those old books, and worse, the poetry… :-(.
Complete this sentence: If only the rain…
… would stop already. We’ve hardly had a day without rain all year. Even if it starts off looking okay, it rains later on. People are getting sad and grumpy :-(.

Sorry you are having so much rain but it sure will make your spring and summer beautiful! When we get a lot of rain here (which is unusual) it makes everything pop out a beautiful green and bright colors.

I’m sure the grass and flowers are beautiful colours here but it’s hard to tell through all the rain 🙂

We’ve certainly had more rain these past couple of years (all year) than we used to 😦

Maybe it is time to move to a drier climate? Move to the American desert. You won’t see much rain at all — except for the last few years. LOL!

When it rains enough to push the water level up to the second floor, those pesky stairs won’t be a problem for your aching joints anymore! Gotta accentuate the positive! I’m assuming you know how to swim.. 😉

Love that glowing cloud cover.
You can always install a stair climbing chair. It’s also good for moving the piles of laundry up the stairs so you don’t have to carry it 🙂

I was thinking that one day I might need a stair lift, but if they’re also good for lugging around laundry, maybe I’ll advance my plans!

I hated the literature bit too but it ended up being my best o level grade. Perhaps I should hate subjects more, like my Bulgarian. What am I saying, I already do! That’s that idea down the pan! I know what you mean about the stairs, it’s awful to think ahead but I think it’s natural. We’re already in the process of moving our kitchen back upstairs in preparation for old age. Of course, that is years off yet (she lied) 😉

I only got a “B” in my literature O Level. I really didn’t like it at all 🙂
I started thinking ahead when I reached mid-40s. Feelings of mortality came crashing in!

A bit weird maybe, but I find those old books very boring. If we’d done some modern stuff instead of Dickens and Shakespeare, I might have enjoyed it more!

If you can already ‘nap at the drop of a hat”… wait just about ten more years. I fall asleep as soon as I tilt my head. Reclining in my desk chair at school- A DEFINITE No-No!!! Relaxing to watch TV… It doesn’t really matter what the channel happens to be… I’ll never know?

I found high school literature/poetry classes quite boring, too. I especially didn’t like the instructor attempting to tell me what the poet meant by such and such a poem. I was already a poet and truly dreaded dying famous (hahaha!) and having my poetry analyzed line for line.
