Here is my Limerick for Mind and Life Matters’ Limerick Poetry Challenge. This week the word is “hope“.

There once was a silly old bloke
Who treated his life like a joke
So it was no surprise
In most anyone’s eyes
When his hopes and dreams went up in smoke.
