Sharing My World 2016 Week 14

Here are my answers to Cee’s questions for her Share Your World series.

share-your-world2

If you could hire someone to help you, would it be with cleaning, cooking, or yard work?
I don’t really need a cook, it’s the just the one of me :-(. I’ve never been exactly sure what “yard work” is, but I’m thinking it’s what we call “gardening”? If so, I only have a dinky garden so no help needed there either (though it’s never really particularly trim and tidy to be honest).

So I’ll have a cleaner, please. It would be nice if someone could dig out the vacuum cleaner from under whatever pile of stuff it’s buried inΒ :-).

Ooh, ooh, there it is!

Ooh, ooh, there it is!

What makes you laugh the most?
Either comedy TV or over-the-top gory TV/video games. I re-watched “Resident Evil – Afterlife” last night and I did enjoy watching zombie brains explode. “Planet Terror” is a real laugh-a-thon. And yesterday afternoon I was playing Fallout 4 and got caught underground with a bunch of ghouls and my automatic combat shotgun. You can imagine how that went heh heh πŸ™‚

What was your favourite food when you were a child?
The only thing I can remember is chocolate, if that counts as a food. I ate loads. I was huge.

List at least five favourite flowers or plants.
Five? I don’t know many flower or plant names. Here goes.

  • The big bush with the sort of clumps of little petals. I want to say rhododendron. Or hydrangea.
  • That tree which is all big and has loads of green stuff on. You know the one.
  • Lavender.
  • Gorse in bloom. I love seeing it all over the moors and whatnot.
  • Those little blue flowers. That look like bells. Can’t think of the name. Bell blues?

That’s all for this week!

Next time someone asks me what makes me laugh, I’ll have to add your SYW sunday edition. I love your choice of flowers. πŸ˜†

Aw, thanks! Yes, those flowers will make for a lovely garden. Probably.

Can I ask a question? Why do you save the flattened boxes things come in? Are there coupons or are you separating them for the recyclable collection? I just wondered. I don’t have a closet of stuff I have to get rid of, I have a room. πŸ™‚ — Suzanne

It’s all cardboard for recycling. The local supermarket stopped recycling cardboard and I’m still waiting for the local council to cough up the correct bag for cardboard πŸ™‚

I won’t show Granny your post, Draliman, she might dig up everything that is hidden in that room..MOL… Beautiful choice for the plants, but I was a little disappointed that there was no nip in the row… πŸ˜‰ Pawkisses for a Happy Sunday πŸ™‚ ❀

I went to the garden centre with Dad yesterday to buy some compost and plants for my garden. Two were “hebe”, which I insisted on calling “heebie jeebies” the whole time.

HeeHee! I adore flowers but can never remember their names either. My brain is wired to wander off into a Shakespeare quote about roses and how naming them changes them not at all. I have a plant that flowers dramatically in autumn and winter from Brazil. I call it “that plant that flowers dramatically in Autumn and Winter from Brazil.” πŸ˜€

I’ll have to remember to use that quote if anyone ever asks me to name a flower πŸ™‚
That’s a cool plant name. It says what it is. You can’t say fairer than that!

Your flower descriptions made me LOL. I’m like you, I can tell you I like the yellow ones that pop up all over in the spring and the ones with big green leaves and orange petals, but that’s about it.

I haven’t read one of your Sunday posts for a couple of weeks and can say, in all honesty, that your answers today made me laugh out loud. I’m just trying to figure out which kind of tree is big with loads of green stuff all over it. I don’t think I’ve seen one like that. And your ‘broom’/vacuum cleaner cupboard is a treat for sore eyes. πŸ™‚

I would have to find someone to do all of the above…cleaning, cooking, AND yard work? Otherwise, I will just take care of it all myself. πŸ™‚

I had never seen a closet full of useless things. I believe you need someone who simplifies your life and teaches you to throw away unnecessary things. You shouldn’t just clean the house but eliminate all the things you don’t need. You could start choosing things to throw yourself. 😊
