Limerick Challenge – Dark

Here is my Limerick for Mind and Life Matters’ weekly Limerick challenge. I had a hard time with this one but have thought of something at the last minute :-).

This week’s word is “Dark“.

I once was afraid of the night
Vampires gave me such a fright
Now dark tunnels I tread
As I hunt the undead
With my matches I’ll set them alight!

Careful… flaming zombies can be a fire hazard. Remember, only you can prevent forest fires…

      Flame a zombie, destroy a village 😦

Drake Blaxonfest, vampire slayer. It has a certain ring.

Oh we will be so prepared that when the zombies try to take over it will be a breeze! 😀

Yes, we’ve received so much quality education on the subject over the last few years!

Very nice Limerick – it flows very well. As for the zombies, surely that’s the only possible way to treat them? 🙂

Thanks, I spend ages making sure that my Limericks scan (more or less) correctly!
Flaming the undead is the only way to go. I went zombie-flaming in Fallout 4 recently. They don’t half burn well 🙂

I find it humorous that the word dark gave you trouble, as often your humor can be described as dark. That said, for struggling with the word, you certainly did an excellent job! Light em’ up, watch them burn!

A word of warning, Ali. Don’t mess with matches. Take a couple lighters. If it’s raining and your matches get damp, you’re done for. Still better, take a bow and some flaming arrows. You won’t even have to get close. For video instructions, watch “The Lord of the Rings” or “Game of Thrones”. “Game of Thrones” gets especially vicious. I’ve never heard the word “flay” used so many times before. O_o —- Suzanne

That’s wise advice! I wouldn’t want to be extinguished before battle 😦 I wanted to write “flamethrower” but it wouldn’t fit 🙂

That’s an awesomely creative limerick, Doc. Love how you manage to craft something SF/F/H into most of your posts. Happy Thursday!
