Sharing My World 2016 Week 18

Here is my post for Cee’s Share Your World.

share-your-world2

Who was your best friend in elementary school?
I met a lad way back in infants school (at around age 6, 7 maybe?) and we were friends all the way through secondary school. As is often the way, we began to grow apart, I went off to university and I haven’t seen him for nearly 30 years now.

On the other hand, a chap I “knew” as a baby (our dads were friends) who I lost touch with because he went to a different primary school, became my best friend in secondary school and we’re still close friends now.

What things could people do for you on a really bad day that would really help you?
What I want is to be left alone. If that’s the best thing for me, I don’t know. I don’t have many “really bad days” though :-).

If you could make a 15 second speech to the entire world, what would you say?
I’ve had it with you lot. I’m going back home to Tau Ceti 7. You’re all mad, mad I say!

Would you rather be an amazing dancer or an amazing singer?
Singer, I think.

Were you ever singing along to the car stereo, thinking you’re doing an awesome job, and then turned down the volume to bask in your own singing prowess? Don’t do it. It’s bad. It would be nice to do that and be singing in tune.

Good answers, Ali. It’s great to have a friend you’ve known so many years. I have a couple of friends like that also. Happy Mother’s Day to your mom. 🙂 — Suzanne

It’s weird to think how long I’ve known him!
Mother’s Day was March 6th (the same day as my Mum’s 80th birthday!) but I’ll pass your wishes along :-). I did have a bit of a panic attack with all the Mother’s Day posts today heh heh but it turns out it’s only in America.

Great answers! I don’t think I have ever sang along with the car stereo because my singing is so out of tune! LOL!

These days, I ONLY sing with the volume up. As soon as I hear me croaking along, I lost all my enthusiasm.

When you go back to Tau Ceti 7, can I hitch a ride? They ARE all mad. Completely, totally wacko.

Don’t tell them where you are from…they might follow you and Tau Ceti 7 will be infected. Just shake your head and slip away quietly. Be optimistic. They might evolve and learn to get along. Anything is possible. 😀

Ooh, that’s true. My fellow Tau Cetans wouldn’t be very impressed with me if that happened. I’ll just slip away and pop back in a bit to see how things are progressing 🙂

I’ll call the crew and make sure there’s room on the ship. It looks like there’ll be a bunch of us going 🙂

Aha, so you’re an alien too, Dr Ali. That explains why I feel a simpatico friendship with you. Here I was thinking you were from Gallifrey, tho. Anyway, cool! 🙂

No, Tau Ceti. I have friends on Gallifrey, though :-). Though they’ve been out of touch for quite a while, I wonder if something’s happened…

I remember that line but not from where but I do think everyone knows they’really mad. Being able to sing would be nice.

The closest Google can find to that line is something similar from Alice in Wonderland 🙂
I’d love to be able to sing!

I lost touch with most of my schoolfriends, either when I went to uni or later, when I left my hometown. Happy memories though. Tau Ceti 7 sounds a much better place than Earth, at times. Do they have holiday accommodation there, so I can check it out? 🙂

They have the best hotels and the most beautiful beaches! It’s a shame to lose touch with old friends, but it happens as people move away.
