Sharing My World 2016 Week 20

Here is my post for Cee’s Share Your World. Short and sweet this week :-).

share-your-world2

When do you feel most connected with others?
Tricky one that. I’m not a “connecting” sort of person, as a rule. There was one memorable occasion a couple of years ago when Dad and I went on a little trip back to his roots. He showed me around the tiny village where he grew up (just a collection of cottages, really), and we had a lovely pub lunch.

What daily habit would you like to introduce to your life?
I’d like to introduce a bit of exercise. A little walk would be good. Maybe if I got up half an hour earlier…

What one mini-little-adventure would you like to have in the coming week?
Ooh, I don’t think I would like an sort of adventure, mini or otherwise. I’m a creature of habit, me.

List things or events that changed your Life: It could be as simple as a book or meeting a certain person?

  • Going to university
  • Working in Germany
  • Starting a new life and career
  • Buying my little house

Don’t go out for walks… they always end up as mini adventures!

We seem to share many idiosyncrasies in our personalities. I am jealous of your time spent working in about country. I think that I would love that?

Great answers, Ali! That sounds like a nice excursion that you and your dad had. I am a creature of habit too.

Adventure is overrated. Peace and quiet are underrated. I too vote for peace.

Adventure generally means something went wrong. Like Garry’s “lost bag adventure”.

Adventure is a another way of saying everything went in reverse of King Midas but was laughed about later eventually (by the survivors) πŸ˜€

Adventure is best saved for stories, in my opinion! Great answers, Ali. πŸ™‚

I reckon that’s true. After all, most of us are constrained to doing the same thing every day due to work etc.

It’s nice that you love your home area so much, Ali. Cornwall is a beautiful county and must be a wonderful place to live. As for adventure, the thought of it can be scary, but it does add interest to life a times (so I’m told). πŸ™‚

It is a lovely place to live. Making the rest of the A30 (i.e. the bit between where I work and where I live) a dual carriageway would make it even better!

This actual news story sounds kind of like something you’d write, Doc Ali (about “stoned” sheep in Wales): http://www.ksdk.com/news/weird/stoned-sheep-cause-mayhem-after-eating-cannabis-plants/215928191 // Instead of pigs in space, maybe Captain Mutton and crew, on the H.M.S. Mary Jane (are spaceships or only seafaring ships called this; I don’t know)?!! πŸ™‚ Anyway, great post as always. You kind of sound like someone else I know (naming no names).

Ha, you don’t often hear the words “sheep” and “rampage” in the same sentence!
I’m sure spaceships can be “HMS” too – after all, Star Trek has the “USS” Enterprise πŸ™‚

Yeah, exactly, so I was wondering if the UK did the same. “Stoned sheep” just keeps ringing in my head. I wonder if cattle would/could get ‘high’ eating cannabis or if their bodies would process it differently? Looking forward to your ‘share your world’ this week, Dr. Ali! Happy Sunday.

I reckon they would get high. A herd of high cattle really would be a rampage 😦
