Sharing My World 2016 Week 29

Here is my post for Cee’s Share Your World. It didn’t occur to me that we’re over half way through the year until I saw the week number!

What is the perfect pizza?
I don’t eat out much so I’m going with mine! Now, this isn’t the perfect pizza. It started out like this:

Evil Dr. Zog's hidden volcano lair.

Evil Dr. Zog’s hidden volcano lair.

And ended up like this:

Yum

Yum

It was my first attempt and was too thick and had too much topping. I have since refined the process – last night’s was just right! As long as there is cheese, pepperoni and chorizo, that’s the main thing 🙂

What is your favourite time of day?
I’m most awake in the mornings, but I don’t really have a favourite time of day. It also depends on the day. Weekday? Weekend? Late afternoon on a weekend is great, but not on a weekday. I really start to flag around 3pm at work 😦

Show us two of your favourite photographs.  The photos can be from anytime in your life span.  Explain why they are your favourite.
There are some lovely photos of me with my (still a) toddler godson, and those are ones I look back on fondly. However, I haven’t asked his parents for permission to put them public, so here are couple of my favourite scenes.

On the way to St. Nectan’s Glen, Cornwall

Complete this sentence:  I’m looking forward to…
… nothing really. I just take life as it comes, day by day. I like it better that way.

A lot more than I can be bothered with, according to the instructions. It doesn’t seem to make any difference though 🙂

I am impressed at your making real pizza from ingredients. Chorizo. Good topping idea. Of course, any kind of sausage is a winner for pizza, right?

Cornwall is such a magical place. When we were there, I kept expecting to me Arthur around every corner.

Is that second picture really pizza, or an eruption from Evil Dr. Zog’s hidden volcano lair?

The pizza looks good! I’ve never tried making my own pizza crust. I’m not really good with any kind of dough. I am now adding St. Nectan’s Glen to the list of places I want to visit. It looks very peaceful!

Give it a go! All you do is mix it together and knead it a bit (i.e. until you get bored).
St Nectan’s Glen is very peaceful. A bit of a pain to get to, though!

Yes 😦 we have wonderful pics of the little toddlers we watch but we can’t post them here. I know how you feel…it’s not our place to do so.

I’ll be back shortly, but posting sometimes.

I know I’d be livid if I had kids and someone posted pictures of them on a public website.
My pizzas have been greatly refined since my first attempt (though the dough-making process remains unchanged!).

You’ll have to open your own ‘Pizza Parlour’ as a sideline. I’m sure you’d manage a great Italian accent. 🙂

I had to look up ‘chorizo’… Is this a spicy sausage? Or since you don’t know what people in the states have as a taste for sausage???? We have three types. The spicy spectrum is the main difference…..

Yes, it’s a Spanish spicy sausage. Very tasty once cooked and placed atop a pizza!
