FF – True Love

Here is my story for this week’s Friday Fictioneers, hosted by Rochelle. This is another rerun, this week requested by C. E. Ayr and the photo was contributed back in May 2013 by Ted Strutz.

This was a couple of months before my time, so I have written a story from my head! Click on the blue froggy for this week’s other stories.

“Wow, sweetie, look at this place, isn’t it great?”

“For sure! Cosy, too. A real family business. Lovely place.”

“Can I get a glass of red, babes?”

“Of course, darling. But remember, eyes on the prize.”

“I know, I know. Cash from the till, safe in the back room.”

“Exactly. Once we’re done here, where would you like to go next, my love?”

“Ooh, shoe shopping, please. The owner’s blood is all over my boots.”

“What did I tell you earlier?”

“Um, never aim for the neck?”

“Correct! You got a real spurter there.”

“Ha, clumsy me! Love you!”

“Love you too.”

    Dear Ali,

Strange, grisly little meeting here. Almost has a Little Shop of Horrors feel to hit. Comedy and blood. Twisted tale well done.

    Shalom,

      Dear Rochelle,

I was also thinking of the film “True Romance” :-). I’m glad you liked it!

Lol, this reminded me of a ditsy version of Bonnie and Clyde perhaps hailing from Essex.
Nice details, and the closing segment was really well done.

Ah, I still need to see True Romance. I was thinking of Natural Born Killers, both Tarantino stories. You definitely have a bit of the macabre about you. 🙂

I’ve never actually seen Natural Born Killers, but now you’ve reminded me of it I’ll have to track it down.
      I do have a macabre side 🙂

What a lovely couple! I hope they find a new hobby, though. This is probably not going to work out as a long term life strategy. Aw, but they are so SWEET.

Any criminal with a good sense of fashion will make sure to dress in crimson. Sure, the police might spot them a mile away, but at least those bloodstains won’t ruin a perfectly good outfit…

A nice pair of red cowboy boots like Ted had in “How I Met Your Mother” would do the trick 🙂

My first thought was “True Romance” but I also had that couple from Pulp Fiction in mind (I think they were the ones in the diner?).
Probably just as well for them they didn’t run into SLJ – I seem to remember he had quite a large gun in the film 🙂

You’d think I would have, given as how nearly every book I read has vampires in it! I’m guessing it was the spurting neck 🙂
