Sharing My World 2016 Week 33

Here is my post for Cee’s Share Your World.

share-your-world2

Would you travel into outer space?
Hell yeah. Not in one of these new so-called spaceships we have, though. They sound rather dangerous. I want to go in style, get beamed up and then go to warp speed. I’d like to visit the pleasure planet of Risa, please.

Which country/city in the world (that you have never been to) would you most like to visit and why?
Can anyone guess? I bet regular readers can. I would go to Matamata, New Zealand. Because that’s where Hobbiton is! I could visit the Hobbits! Whoo-hoo ๐Ÿ™‚

What could you do to breathe more deeply today?
Take a deeper breath? Is this to do with being calm? If so, I’m always pretty calm ๐Ÿ™‚

Complete this sentence: ย This creamy peanut butter sandwich could really use some…
… chucking in the bin. Yuck, the very ideaย of peanut butter sounds wrong. It sounds like peanuts (yuck) mashed up in butter. (Full disclosure – I’ve never eaten peanut butter.) It’s not such a big thing here. I don’t think it was around at all when I was little, though you can buy it now. I think it’s an American thing.

High five for the peanut butter sandwich..!
I would have given the same disclosure.. Though I would have tried giving it to a dog before finally throwing it away. But then I could have tried tasting it first to see if it was really as bad as it sounds…:p

      Oh no, poor dog ๐Ÿ™‚
Maybe one day I’ll try some. But I’m not buying any, someone would have to force it on me.

He he..the dog is quite clever, it wouldn’t eat anything that doesn’t smell good.
And yes, even I wouldn’t buy it, for sure :p

Dogs love peanut butter, LOL. I learned to like it after I understood that it is eaten with sweet stuff. Like jam, jelly, or chocolate. Yummy! I miss it, it’s outrageously expensive in Germany, and actually quite healthy.

I think it’s cheap enough here. I just don’t think I’ll like it!

Peanut butter must be our version of Vegemite… something that the natives love that disgusts most outsiders. That creamy shit’s for the mice, though… peanut butter HAS to be crunchy to truly be good…

Funny, Marmite is our version of Vegemite! Marmite’s ad campaign actually centres around love/hate.

I seem to be in the minority here! But I hesitate to spend money on it just to try it as I hate peanuts…

I think you’re very wise not to buy it if you’re pretty sure you’d hate it. You’d be depriving some poor peanut butter lover of a jar. ๐Ÿ™‚

You’re my kind of guy. I’ve been waiting my whole life for the transporter. I hope they get to it soon. As for peanut butter, our dogs are VERY fond of it, but neither Garry or I like it. Probably that makes us un-American.

I’m sure we were promised the transporter. Still, we’re already behind on the whole flying car thing.
Everyone is saying that dogs love peanut butter. Are we sure it’s “human” food? ๐Ÿ™‚

I remember in that movie, “Meet Joe Black,” that Joe was really into peanut butter! I think you would be better off getting some Nutella.

You would chuck a peanut butter sandwich in the bin??!! That makes me re-evaluate my opinion of you as a human being. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Alright, I’ll give you one more chance. What do you think of (black) liquorice? (I’m not telling you what I think of it.)

…honey and cinnamon. That’s how I make peanut butter sandwich. I wish I could just fly in a special suit and explore space. But that’s only possible in science fiction, I guess.

Same here with the peanut butter. I tried Vegemite once but I prefer our similar (but saltier) Marmite ๐Ÿ™‚
You don’t want to be beamed all the way to your destination, though. Getting there is half the fun. Road trip!

What!?! Never eaten peanut butter!?! Peanut butter and jelly was a common sandwich for kids when I was growing up. I had no idea it wasn’t popular other places. I don’t like it all that much though. I love almond butter but, unfortunately, I’m allergic to almonds. I’ve never tried Marmite.

There was no such thing as peanut butter in the UK when I was growing up (as far as I’m aware).
You have to be careful with Marmite. We gave some to a friend in Germany once and he started choking and rolling around on the floor. I think he was exaggerating for effect. Or maybe not ๐Ÿ™‚

Oh I just looked up Matamata, New Zealand – how beautifully green! Perfect for hobbits:)

I’m not a big peanut butter fan. It’s a comfort food – with jam and bread. The family myth is that a tablespoon lifts your spirits when you’re having a sad day. It took growing up to realize that was only a sugar rush ๐Ÿ™‚

Ha ha! Peanut butter seems to be one of those things like Marmite – you either love it or hate it! My ‘children’ are equally divided on this one. I shouldn’t think Hobbits east them, so you’ll be OK to have tea with them.

I think I’d like to visit anywhere New Zealand, not just the (mock-up?) of Hobbiton. Is it still made up like Hobbiton? And Risa, isn’t that a double-edged sword? ๐Ÿ™‚ For one thing, one might never want to leave . . . Maybe just the HoloDeck sometimes (most preferably when Borg aren’t visiting the Enterprise).

While it’s true that Picard never had much of a relaxing time on Risa, I’m sure it’s mostly quite relaxing!

Oh, I know. So far away! I’ve been to Europe (and back) once, but that’s my farthest flight. I can’t imagine being on a plane for that long (I presume I’d take a plane to the west, over California and across the Pacific, much different from your route), as to travel to the “far East,” Oceania, or the Australasian ecozone (so many names for ‘over there’!).

Yeah, I have called it that, too, but I wasn’t sure if New Zealand really is included. From now on, I’ll blame you if I’m wrong (J/K)!

Well, people usually think of Australia when hearing “Down Under”, it’s true. New Zealand is a lot further “up” to be honest.
