Sharing My World 2016 Week 38
Here is my post for Cee’s Share Your World.
Are you a hugger or a non-hugger?
Generally I like my personal space. Sometimes I find myself backing away a little from people who are comfortable with a smaller “bubble”.
However, if the likes of Jennifer Lawrence, Pixie Lott or Taylor Momsen suddenly turned up on my doorstep demanding a hug, I would just have to bite the bullet and oblige :-). That’s fairly unlikely to happen, though :-(.
What is your least favourite candy?
Those sort of softish fruity ones covered with sugar. I’m not sure what they’re called. Also, anything liquorice-related. I prefer chocolate-based sweets!
What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the word “fun”?
It’s a bit sad but nothing immediately springs to mind. I enjoy doing certain things – I suppose that’s “fun”, but mood-wise I’m generally extremely stable – right in the middle. I like to watch my friends’ kids playing – they look like they’re having fun!
List of Favourite Smells: What smells do you love? Whether it’s vanilla scented candles or the smell of coffee in the morning or the smell of a fresh spring rain…make a list of all the things you love for a little aromatherapy.
- Freshly cut grass
- Bacon cooking
- Anything baking – cakes, bread and whatnot
- The scent of the forest

So I guess one of your favorite smells isn’t the strong scent of underarms that comes with hugging. BTW, I had to look up those last two hugees, and I officially approve of your list…

That wouldn’t be on my favourite smells list, no. I’m glad you approved of my list. Hands off!

I also like the smell of things baking, especially bread. I like the forest smell also. I can’t smell it but have a background for my email of a damp forest path with trees on either side. It looks like a place Robin Hood might have lived. 🙂 — Suzanne

The baking bread smell is a great reason to visit a baker shop 🙂

The things in your list of favourite smells are all on my list, too. I’d add the smell of the sea, though, simply because I miss it a lot now that I live inland. I had to look up all three of your ‘hugees’, to quote evil squirrel. You never know, you might just open the door one day and see one of them standing there with open arms. You can but hope. 🙂 Liquorice is yummy, although so many people hate it. But I agree that chocolate beats sweets any day.

Fingers crossed they’ll turn up 🙂
Ugh, liquorice 😦 Never liked it.
The smell of the sea is nice, but I prefer the smell of the forest.

I used to bake bread … a lot … and my house would fill up with salivating people waiting for it to come out of the oven. If you don’t have friends, baking bread can bring them by the busload 🙂

I’ll hopefully be trying bread next when I get time so we’ll see how that goes. I’ll leave the windows open to attract people over 🙂

I’m a hugger; like coffee smell, although I seldom drink it; candy cone is my favorite, love its creamy, consistency.

I’ve not heard of candy cone but I do like creamy chocolate.

Obviously you are not a candy lover. 🙂

I prefer chocolate! (I read “candy” as “sweets”, I’m not sure of the exact translation, it’s an American word.)

I have made certain our house smells like freshly baked rock cakes. 😀

Cool! Is that because you’re constantly baking them or have you found a way to harness the odour? 🙂

I’m definitely a non-hugger as well, and would not make an exception for your list of potential “hugees”. 😉
It’s good that your moods tend to be stable. I’m jealous!
