Sharing My World 2017 Week 5

Here is my post for Cee’s Share Your World series.

What is the most incredible natural venue that you’ve ever seen in person?
Ooh, too much to choose from! I’ll just state “Cornwall” (I have’t been around many places).

Tintagel 16

How many siblings do you have? What’s your birth order?
I’m the older of two brothers.

If you were a shoe, what kind would you be and why?
I don’t want to be a shoe, to be trodden on all day. But if I had to be I’d be something comfortable. A pair of those fluffy slippers which look like bunny rabbits.

What is the strangest/weirdest thing you have ever eaten?
I’m not at all adventurous when it comes to food. In Cornwall we’re all about pasties and fish and chips. I do eat very spicy stuff, but not exotically spicy, just spicy sauces on normal food.

HotSauces

I did go out on a limb once and tried calamari. Didn’t like it.

Beautiful pictures, Ali. I can see why you love Cornwall. That’s quite a collection of sauces you have there. 🙂 — Suzanne

I love spicy food and where I live we eat a lot of Mexican food, which is spicy. I don’t put hot sauces on my food but many people do that.

I don’t know that there’s any restaurant nearby to buy Mexican food, but I do enjoy it.

There are so many beautiful places. I loved the Lands End cliffs and actually (I was young and it was a dare) climbed down them (but not up, thank you). it’s great living in a beautiful place, isn’t it? Makes being at home a vacation 🙂

I haven’t been to Land’s End since I was little. It’s a very long way!
I am lucky to live here 🙂

If you come back you can have a personal guide 🙂
I love my hot sauces! Unfortunately I don’t own any fluffy bunny slippers 😦 Maybe I should get some.

I’ll have to agree with you about Cornwall even though I’ve never been there. My best friend of 40+ years is from Cornwall and if I ever win Lotto, that’s where we’ll be going 🙂

Fuzzy pinky bunny slippers? Haahaaa, I like it! Reminds me of an episode of Mash 4077th (a comedy tv sitcom about a mobile army hospital in Korea) where the “crazy” Klinger tries to hang glide back to America. He is wearing a big fluffy pink housecoat with matching slippers. Somehow, I just pictured you doing that over the harbor in Cornwall when I read your answer. 🙂 (giggles).

I don’t remember Klinger trying to hang-glide home. Mind, it’s a while since I saw it. Did he finally give up trying to get that medical discharge? I reckon I could pull off a pink housecoat and fluffy slippers 🙂

Nope, though at the end of the series he did stop wearing dresses. A lot of that to do with meeting a Korean girl whom he married. I have the entire series on DVD. I love it!

Cornwall takes a lot of beating when it comes to beautiful scenery. Some of your little coves and beaches are stunning. But you also have some gorgeous scenery away from the coast. Lucky you, being there all the time!
Spicy sauces are just too … er, spicy for me. I’ll stick with the good ol’ fish ‘n’ chips! Yummy. 🙂
