Sharing My World 2017 Week 16

Here is my post for Cee’s Share Your World.

share-your-world2

When writing by hand do you prefer to use a pencil or pen?
I use a pen, a standard Bic biro. Cheap, light and chewable. I don’t write much anyway – birthday and Christmas cards, thank you letters and notes at work, that’s all.

Would you rather be an amazing dancer or an amazing singer?
That’s a tricky one to answer as I’m already awesome at both. You should see my feet move when I’m “throwing some shapes” of a weekend. And my singing is second to none (as long as whatever I’m singing along to is loud enough to drown me out).

If you were on a debate team, what subject would you relish debating?
I would debate the merits of debating debates in the debate in the hopes that this would cause a metaphysical spiral of infinity, causing the auditorium to implode so we could all go home early and do the watching of the Netflix.

What are you a “natural” at doing?
I don’t know that I’m really a “natural” at doing anything. I’m quite good at learning things to an “okay” level, though.

I used to be afraid of speaking to a group. I got over that quick when I became a first and second-grade teacher. There are no lectures or debates at that level. Good answers, Ali. πŸ™‚ — Suzanne

I still hate talking in a group. I’d rather just sit in the shadows and listen πŸ™‚

I’m with you. I’m more at home in the shadows than in the spotlight. That’s why I always carry a rock with me. If that spotlight veers too close I can throw it and hope to not get cut too badly in the shower of glass that rains down on the room.

The rock sounds like a good idea!

Nothing better than a chewable pen. πŸ™‚

The world would be a better place if debate forums imploded….. or even exploded. Nevermind the collateral damage…

I say you are a natural at fun posts! πŸ™‚ I think you should share a video of your singing and dancing!

I’m better at Netflix. And reading science fiction. Oh, and I cook.

And ultimately they explode ink into your mouth and the teacher yells at you. Magical times!

What kind of shapes do you throw on weekends? Hexagons? (Have you seen the movie Flatland?)

Ha ha πŸ™‚ Though according to Wiki “throw shapes” is British slang. I haven’t seen that film though I just looked it up on IMDB. Looks interesting πŸ™‚

Didn’t hear it the entire time I lived in the UK. Still learning new British expressions! 😁

Ah…that’s why nobody ever said that to me. Everybody kept starting sentences with “not being funny, but…” And they really weren’t funny. πŸ˜‰

Ah, that old chestnut. Right up there with “no offence, but…” (followed by something really offensive) πŸ™‚

Haha! “No offence, but…” should be replaced by “Brace yourself for an extremely offensive comment.” πŸ˜‹
