Sharing My World 2017 Week 37
Here is my post for Cee’s Share Your World.
What colour do you feel most comfortable wearing?
Dark blue. And black. So I can sneak around without being noticed. Like a ninja. But without the sword-waving.
What is your favourite type of dog? (can be anything from a specific breed, a stuffed animal or character in a movie)
List at least five favourite flowers or plants.
Five? I’m not sure I know the names of five. I like heather and lavender. These blue ones in my back garden are nice. I expect they’re bluebells because they’re blue and they look like bells. But they might not be.
These are nice too. There’s at least two different types of flowers here, so that makes five!
What inspired you this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.
Oh boy, this again. Am I the only person who just goes through life, day to day, without getting particularly inspired? I blame fifty hours at work and then being very tired after all that.

Love the dogs. They are so well trained, guarding your precious treasures. Is that a book of Irish jokes I see?

It is! It was a Secret Santa or a stocking filler or something.

I like your idea of dogs. The ones that don’t bark or slobber are my favorites, too. And I like your flowers, no matter what their name is. I can never remember the names of plants either .
I hear you about being too busy to be inspired. But I actually did run across a good quote this week, which is rare for me It’s from Neil Gaiman (supposedly): “”Finish what you’re writing. Whatever you have to do to finish it, finish it.” I only remember it because I wrote it on a post-it note and stuck it to my computer monitor, with the other forest of post-it notes. But it’s a good one, I think.

Once it’s finished, you have something to edit, I guess.
Stuffed dogs are definitely preferable to real dogs in my book.

Nice to learn more about you. Shall we send you pictures of flowers with names printed on? 🙂
When I tutored immigrant women to help them learn English, I would cut out cards and make my own Memory games. When they advanced beyond just “Flowers” level, I cut out pairs of the more common ones so they could learn the names, like tulips, petunias, etc.
You could always claim to be inspired by the FF prompt, though the scene in this week’s prompt maybe wasn’t super-inspiring. (I shouldn’t complain — I pulled a poignant poem out of its bleakness.)
Have a nice week!

When I was little we had a card game where each card had a picture of a flower, and there were two cards per flower in each pack. We played it all the time but I can’t remember the names now 😦
You have a nice week too!

Maybe I’ll have an inspired week: a cousin at a family birth-day party yesterday was all enthused about his Pedometer app and walking 20,000 steps a day. So I got enthused and downloaded an app to my phone, too, I was up with the birdies this morning doing Round One. Surely fresh air and exercise will inspire me. 🙂

Let’s see how long that lasts 🙂

It’s good to see the lads haven’t gotten tangled up in one of Grandpaw’s tall tales of misfortune yet. That inspires me….

Nice photos! I suspect if I worked 50 hours in one week I would be very tired too!

I join you in your lack of inspiration. It is not a weekly event here in south central Massachusetts. In fact, it is rather rare. Maybe not even annually.

I’m not a “be inspired” sort of person.

No, you’re not the only one to go through life without feeling particularly inspired – it’s an overused/ overblown notion. But maybe you’d be more inspired if you weren’t out cat-burgling all hours after work. At least that’s what I’m imagining you’re up to, only wearing black and blue.

I probably wouldn’t be as tired, either 🙂

Thanks very much for the nomination. I’m not really big on awards to be honest (I never seem to get round to them) but I’ll take a look 🙂

I like that kind of animal. They don’t shed and I’m not allergic to them. Those are lovely flowers. 🙂 — Suzanne
