Sharing My World 2017 Week 46

Here is my post for Cee’s Share Your World.

share-your-world2

Would you rather take a 2 week vacation with an organised tour or take a cruise of your choice?
I’d like to have both options simultaneously, please. So there are organised bits and I can pick and choose and if I want to go off and do my own thing I can. That way I’m not pressured but there are things to do which are already all sorted out if I wish.

Did you like swinging as a child? Do you still get excited when you see a swing?
Swinging? As a child?Β  Surely that’s more of an activity between consenting adults? Whayhay πŸ™‚

Oh, wait. I see. I don’t think I’ve ever heard it called “swinging” before. We call it “playing on the swings”. Yes! It was fun! They should have adult-sized swings.

What is the most important thing that you ever learned ? (I bet it’s not something you learned in school)
Oh, who knows. Maybe I haven’t learned it yet. I’ll probably get a massive life-changing revelation just before I drop dead.

What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week?
Take it away, InspiroBot!

“With great sacrifice comes great sadness.”

Often true, I’m sure.

Most important thing I ever learned? After jumping off the swing, move forward before the swing comes to greet you!

Hahaha! You’ll learn something life changing right before you drop dead! Reminds me of a joke. A doctor told his client, “I have good news and bad news.” What’s the good news? “You have 30 days to live.” What’s the bad news? “I should have told you 30 days ago.” Hahahaha!

Great answers! I also like some organisation on a tour. And for someone else to carry the suitcases. πŸ™‚

Someone carrying the suitcases must definitely be part of the whole cruise/tour deal πŸ™‚

Remember when “priority” was a noun? Yes now, it’s a verb and sometimes, adverb or adjective. Swing and swinging is like that. Once, you played on swings, but now you can be a swinger. Which used to mean something entirely different.

I don’t know what the kids are saying these days but “swinging” has only ever had one meaning here. I can’t keep up!

Well, at least the real definition of swinging is universal. Play nice with each other, kids!

I’m with you on the holidays – let someone do the organising and you pick out the best bits. As for playing on the swings, adults can still squeeze on to the grown up kids’ ones, as long as you don’t mind a bit of chain chafing.
I’m not sure I agree with InspiroBot this week. Surely great sacrifice can also bring great satisfaction in some cases.
Have a good inspiring week learning that great piece of info ever.

I’m always worried some parent will come along and chase me away for being too old 😦
InspiroBot is getting more and more desperate in its search for inspiration!

You’re never too old to swing! Sorry, I mean play on the swings.

Couldn’t help laughing at your comment about swinging. I’m referring to the suggestion you made about adult-sized swings, of course. 😁

Swinging. Yes, the U.S. and U.K are definitely two countries separated by a common language, and sometimes with hilarious results. πŸ˜€ — Suzanne
