FF – Tangled

Here is my story for Friday Fictioneers, hosted by Rochelle. The photo was contributed by Victor and Sarah Potter.

I don’t even know what I’ve written this week. It’s a bit silly. Me? Silly? Surely not.

Three homes with three families. Kids all over the place, probably more he didn’t know about. Bank accounts everywhere. Identities out the wazoo – even he sometimes got confused who he was supposed to be from one day to the next.

Scamming him, conning her, no wait, she was to be family number four – or was she? Scam or marry? Or both?

How to keep everything in order?

Circles within circles. Webs cast everywhere. How long before one of those webs caught him?

The heat was on.

It’s a complicated life being a gigolo con-spider.

Sometime ago, I responded to a photo prompt of three women taking to the manager of a restaurant with a similar story. They’d each found out they were married to the same man who had swindled them out of their money. They went looking for him.

Ha ha ha ha. That was so much fun. We had a trashy movie come out on a similar topic a couple of years back, which became a surprise hit. It was about one man who gets married to three women ‘accidentally’ (don’t ask) and keeps them on three separate floors in the same apartment building. None of them, obviously, is aware of the existence of the other two. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kis_Kisko_Pyaar_Karoon

He’s going of get so unstuck one of these days. Being a con-spider, will all three wives want to eat him? Will prospective wife number 4 be allowed a bite? I’m just wondering how he/ the spoils will be divided.
