Sharing My World 2018 Week 11

Here is my post for Cee’s Share Your World.

share-your-world2

If a distant uncle dies and you were always his favourite and leaves you $50,000 (any currency) in his will, what would you do?
Wow, over the past couple of years I’ve lost an awful lot of distant relatives hereabouts, and they’re all leaving me money!

I’d start by paying off a chunk or my mortgage, I guess. Because 50 grand off a mortgage is a lot more than 50 grand once they recalculate the interest.

What sound or sounds do you love?
Trickling water in a bubbling brook. Also the swish of the waves on the sand. Water-related things.

St. Nectan’s Glen, Cornwall

What’s your middle name? Why?
Francis. Why? That’s the one my parents gave me πŸ™‚

What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week?
Nothing springs to mind 😦 Just very busy at work.

Paying off a mortgage is good. Good answers, Ali. That’s a lovely glen. πŸ™‚ — Suzanne

      Pay more now, less later.
      It’s a very peaceful spot πŸ™‚

That is a beautiful glen…but then it’s Cornwall isn’t it. I’m with you in paying the money on the mortgage πŸ˜€

It’s always wise to become debt-free. The glen’s here are brown and icy still. Spring has not sprung?

Funnily enough it’s snowing heavily here right now.

We were to get 3-4 inches of snow this weekend, but the snowfall stopped at the mountain range an never made it across.

Paying a chunk of your mortgage is a good idea. I love the sound of trickling water too.

You were a long was from home πŸ™‚
50k wouldn’t pay it all off but it would make a huge difference!

It would certainly go aways to fix some of the issues around here. Now, all I need are aging wealthy relatives with wills leaving it — or at least a chunk of it — to me!

You’ve made me smile this week with your answer to Q3 – you mean there isn’t a story to your middle name! Good luck with the rich relatives. Maybe a message in a bottle will come in on the next susurrating wave…

Not as fat as I know. I’ll have to ask Mum and Dad! I’m sure I must have a rich relative somewhere…

Francis is a nice middle name, Draliman, it is kind of holey name. The picture is very peaceful, just like listening to the sound of water, it makes us Zen. Granny likes to listen when I’m drinking water too πŸ˜€ Pawkisses for a wonderful Day πŸ™‚ ❀

I need a few of these distant relatives! I, too, would pay down the mortgage, or something equally responsible.

Pay more now, have more to spend later πŸ™‚ It’s the 20 years’ interest you won’t have to pay that makes all the difference.
