Pegman – Best Intentions

Here is my story for What Pegman Saw which this week takes us to the Gurara Waterfalls in Nigeria.

“Ah, the power, the majesty…”

“Don’t jump, mate.”

“No, I’m just enjoying…”

“It’s not worth it. Lost your job?”

“You don’t understand…”

“It’s the wife, right? Shacked up with your best mate?”

“No, really, I just want some peace and quiet to…”

“It’s not worth killing yourself over.”

“Listen, you need to…”

“Just ‘cos he’s a stallion in the sack and you’re more of an eager hamster…”

“What? What? You… you…” shove

“Aaaargh… nooooot agaaaaaaain…” splash!

“That’s better. Ah, the power, the majesty…”

2 weeks later, after yet another stay in hospital…

“Oh, the gorgeous view…”

“Hey, lady, don’t jump, it’s not worth it.”

“Excuse me? No, I’m just enjoying…”

“It’s the old man, right? Shacked up with your best mate…”

Some people never learn, do they? Or maybe he just likes a good swim followed by a hospital stay. Entertaining and funny as always!

It’s probably his ideal day out, poor chap 🙂 I’m glad you liked it!

    Dear Ali,

All he wants is some peace and quiet to enjoy the view. Poor guy. Always the wrong place and the right nutcase, right? Made me chuckle.

    Shalom,

      Dear Rochelle,
I wonder how many people have had their day ruined by this joker 🙂

Why not jump? I mean, it obviously won’t kill you… it will just give you a nice relaxing two week stay in the hospital. Though I guess you could suffer the misfortune of getting this guy as a bedmate while you recuperate…

That guy must have a boring life. Getting shoved off the waterfalls seems to be a habit with him. Good writing, Ali. 😀 — Suzanne

Ha ha! Hmm, the guy’s one-track mind makes me wonder if he has a certain incident in his own past and is projecting! Funny stuff, Ali!

Hee 🙂 I thought it an apt description for a certain type. Though I’m sure “eager hamster” can be fun too 🙂

I hope the hospital costs are worth it.

Ha, yes. I didn’t even consider that but I guess you have to pay for medical treatment in Nigeria.

Yeah, straight into the drink. I was actually hoping, before I looked for pictures, that the Garura Waterfalls were going to be higher… 🙂

Well it comes to something when you can’t stop to admire a view without a busy body cropping up to stop you jumping. How many dunkings will he need before he stops? I imagine he’s a man because of the stallion comment – only another man would get that dig in.

      It is a man 🙂
At least visitors get a bit of a break while he’s in the hospital.
