Sharing My World 2018 Week 14

Here is my post for Cee’s Share Your World.

share-your-world2

What was or is your favourite cartoon?
Hmm. Back in the day I liked Scooby Doo. Who doesn’t? These days it’s stuff like “King of the Hill” and “F is for Family”.

Which cooking utensil (other than the usual pots and pans etc) would you miss the most?
My Mum. Hahahahaha. No, seriously, my fish slice. I use it for turning and serving loads of stuff.

Would you dare to sleep in haunted house overnight?
Given that a “haunted house” is probably just a “house”, what’s in it for me? Is it comfortable? Is there WiFi? What’s for tea?

If it’s an old, chilly, uncomfortable house I suppose it would be okay with a group of people looking forward to the full “haunting experience”. Might be a laugh.

What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week?
This advert in my gmail made me laugh.

What, seriously? Why did I dismiss this ad? For a Chinese mud pump? Why does Google think I want to buy a mud pump? Why would I be so desperate to pump mud that I’d consider importing a whole machine from China for the purpose?

Let’s have a show of hands. Who here wants to buy a Chinese mud pumping machine?

No one?

Thought not.

I could just see ghosts sitting down to use their wi-fi and drinking tea. That might happen if they didn’t yet know they were dead. Either that or they’re like the ghosts in Harry Potter who just go on with their everyday lives. 😀 — Suzanne

I don’t mind sharing the house with ghosts as long as there’s pizza for tea 🙂

    This post cracked me up!
“Your mum” was a great answer but the ad….priceless!

Yes, what’s that all about? How many takers could there possibly be for such an item? 🙂 And if these are targeted ads, what have I been Googling?

Well, when you end you end up buried under three feet of mud due to some unexpected 300 foot high tidal wave, don’t go crying to Google. They were only trying to look out for you….

It rained here this morning and a Chinese mud pump might be nice to have but I don’t think I want to buy one. Hahahaha! How funny!

Maybe a Japanese mud pump is more your style? 🙂

You never know when a mud pump would come in handy. Pizza with ghosts sounds like fun! 😀

It might be fun just to muck about with.
I’ll only have pizza with ghosts if they don’t eat any. Presumably they can’t.

Google might know you better than you know yourself…we’ll see if a need for a China mud pump comes up anytime soon.

They don’t give an option “Don’t know, I didn’t read it, they’re just annoying” for dismissing their ads 🙂

I actually watched the two Scooby Doo movies my second week of retirement. I think I was missing the kids? Scooby was too late in coming out for me- I was already a die-hard baseball fan.

I had to look up a fish slice. I do not have one in my kitchen full of tools. After much thought, I think I might need one as well.

I received the same ‘mud’ advertisement. I got chuckles from it as well!

Another word for “fish slice” is “spatula”, but “spatula” covers a wide range of utensils and a fish slice is quite specific.
What’s going on with this mud ad thing? Maybe the Chinese Mud Sucking Company Inc has paid a lot of money to get themselves out there!

A more attractive ad might help.. And questions that seem possible?
