Sharing My World 2018 Week 19

Here is my post for Cee’s Share Your World.

share-your-world2

If you were given $22 million tax free dollars (any currency), what is the first thing you would do? (This is just a dream question, remember anything can happen in SYW.)
Wow, $22 million dollars! But which country’s dollars? Knowing my luck it’s Zimbabwe dollars. So that’s just under GB£45,000. A “dream question”? Mine’s turned into a nightmare, I got lumbered with dodgy currency. That’s just bloody typical.

I’ll use it to pay off some of my mortgage. I can only hope it wasn’t the old pre-2009 Zimbabwe dollar. I just checked and you can buy 100 trillion of those for £1.50 on eBay 🙂

In what do you find the simplest of joys?
Nothing in this life seems to be particularly simple. I suppose something very uncomplicated, away from everyday life, like sitting by a babbling brook.

That’s more contentment than joy, though.

What would be your ideal birthday present, and why?
I don’t know, I don’t really care about birthday presents. Maybe I’ll have the $22m from the first question in a more worthwhile sort of dollar, like AUD or USD.

Is that 100 trillion Zimbabwe dollars all in singles? That would be fun to fill up a room and swim around in if nothing else…

As I recall in the news of the time, people were wheeling million dollar notes around in barrows just to buy a loaf of bread. They’d’ve been better off swimming around in it.

Hahaha! That would be terrible to win $22 million in a lottery and it be Zimbabwe dollars!

I’m imagining you by the brook, very still, with your paw poised to strike 🙂

I’m off to buy some of those pre 2009 Zimbabwe dollars so I can tell everyone I became a millionaire through blogging.

🙂 Your number one answer and number three answer made me LOL… I agree with number two – door number two – and the brook passing by.

Hope all is well with you…I don’t update my recovery process often enough…one day I will. Just not today 😛

    I’ve missed reading you,

As long as you’re on the road to recovery, that’s the main thing. Find yourself a nice babbling brook 🙂

🙂 Anything towards paying off the mortgage is a bonus, but let’s hope your birthday present isn’t $22-million of pre-2009 Zimbabwean $. What a stingy present that would be. Better get out and walking by that babbling brook to take your mind off it.

That would be very stingy. And take up a lot of room. If only the babbling brook were right outside!

Do you really have such bad luck all the time? Or do you just enjoy complaining? 😉
Aren’t joy and contentment the same thing? (I’m fulla questions, aren’t I?)

      I love complaining, me 🙂
I always think of “joy” as “woohoo” and “contentment” as something a little more sedate.

Speaking of complaining, I learned two British words for it: whinging and moaning. 🙂
Ah, okay. “Joy” would be people woo-hooing when their sports team wins, and “contentment” would be a mother watching her sleeping baby.

          That’s it exactly!
“Whinging” I can imagine isn’t universal, but I thought everyone had a good moan every now and again 🙂
