“Good, yes, good shot, zoom…”
“This drone is great. This’ll be one hell of a documentary.”
“Yep! Lower… careful, CAREFUL! Okay, that was his carotid artery. What a mess.”
“It’s really hard to control.”
“Watch out… urgh. I hope she wasn’t right-handed.”
“Why are the rotor blades so sharp?”
“Dunno. We got it cheap from military surplus.”
“Zooming in for a headshot. Wonder what this button does?”
Rat-a-tat-a-tat splatter.
“Oh, hell. Headshot is right.”
“What’s the name of this documentary, anyway?”
“Originally, Faces of Art. Now… Murder at the Museum? Bohemian Bloodbath? Thirty to Life, No Parole? Take your pick.”

Pretty careless not to try it out first, and I don’t think a museum would sanction the use of a drone inside in any case.

Working in the world of TV I have heard the odd story of drones going out of control, on one particular show the operator lost the tip of a finger intercepting his drone before it could harm others, so this isn’t as far-fetched as it may seem!

Blood spatter does make for great abstract art. I’m sure Jackson Pollack would have used that medium himself if he didn’t mind the prison time…

Reading the directions and personal drone practice should have be taught in ‘Making A Documentary 101’ but those true creative types never think they actually need school. Enjoyed!!

A bloodthirsty story. I liked the perspective of looking down, as in the photo, linked to flying a drone around the gallery. Dark humour in the way the guys changed the name of the documentary ! Made me smile.

Eew. Their “humor” in renaming their documentary was pretty brutal. Really good write, though–kept me engaged even with the splatting and defacing 🙂

It’s a fast-moving world, they needed to stay on top of their production even if they’ll be finishing it in jail 🙂
