Sharing My World 09-12-2018

Here is my post for Melanie’s Share Your World.

What are the most important lesson(s) you’ve learned in life?
I’ve learned tons of really profound things. Don’t run with scissors. Don’t leave a heater balanced precariously on the edge of the bath regardless of how cold the bathroom is. Important stuff.

How did you meet your husband/wife or significant other? How did you know he/she was “the one”?
Ah, yes. My significant other. I wasn’t sure but everyone at work told me to go for it. So I did! How did I know my significant other was “the one”? When I saw those graphics. Magic! Me and my PlayStation 4 are very happy together, thanks for asking.

If you could take a year-long paid sabbatical, what would you do?
I’d get bored, I would imagine. And I’d feel guilty the whole time because getting paid for doing nothing doesn’t feel right.

What is your favourite thing to buy at a movie theatre concession stand?
One sec while I run that through the translator… ah, yes, the little shop in the cinema that sells coffee and popcorn.

Nothing. I buy nothing from the little shop in the cinema that sells coffee and popcorn.

It’s so heartwarming to learn you and your PlayStation 4 are happy together. And just think, you can trade her in or junk her when she’s old and worn out without any guilt feelings whatever. 😀 — Suzanne

Sounds like you don’t hang out at the theatre very much, Ali. Must be because you’re still so happy with your Play Station? It’s good to hear that someone in this day and age feels “working” should go together with “getting paid.” 😉

You don’t even buy anything for your Playstation 4 when you take it on a date to the cinema? I hope she doesn’t dump you…

Thanks for Sharing Your unique World!! And SEE? You DO have a ‘relationship’ …nobody said it had to be with another human. I have a relationship with my dog (and if that sounds dirty, blame it on the fact that it’s too early and my caffeine hasn’t kicked in…) I hope the two of y’all are very happy for a long time! Obsolescence is a real danger in those connections.. and a last thank you! I need to start thinking a LOT more globally!!

True, I’ve had to dump a number of consoles, they just couldn’t move with the times!

So funny – loved the over-the-top-chaos &world crumbling — all for the sake of a perfect Egg Nog. Good writing.

It’s always fun when the end result of total chaos is something quite insignificant. I’m glad you liked it!

I recently realized how easy it would be for one of the kids to knock the space heater in the tub. Scared the bejsus out of me. I moved it. That reminds me of the time we had the big heater in the floor and little man burned his butt trying to warm up after a bath. Didn’t realize burns could be funny until then.

Good spot on the space heater.
Ouch! That sounds painful. Did he have to sit on one of those inflatable rubber rings till he healed? 😦

It wasn’t that bad. It smarted and needed a little cortizone, but that was it.
