FF – Don’t be a Jeff!

Here is my story for Friday Fictioneers, hosted by Rochelle. This week’s photo was contributed by C.E. Ayr.

Jeff bid goodbye to his mates and left the pub. The other members of the motorcycle gang left en masse but Jeff slunk around the corner to his piddly little moped. As his fellows roared off on their testosterone-fuelled hogs, Jeff opened his throttle and charged off at his top speed of 17mph, head down.

But – too late! He had been spotted! The video was online! Jeff’s street cred was ruined!

If he wanted the cred, he should have gotten the hog. *shaking head at humanity*

Well, maybe he deserved to lose his street cred, but I still feel for the guy.

    Great story,

He must have made a funny sight, all decked out in his biker gang gear buzzing off down the street 🙂 I’m glad you liked it!

Maybe there’s a “mod” gang he can join instead, he’s not cutting it as a “rocker” 🙂

Now I’m imagining the whole gang at the side of the road getting speeding tickets while he buzzes sedately past 🙂

That made me laugh, theres some bikers in my village and they would be exactly the same, but a set of wheels is a set of wheels, isn’t it?

A lot of biker “gangs” are really social clubs these days, brought together by the love of two wheels.

i think jeff should charge mike’s bike a fee for using him on its ad… until he can afford to buy a harley. . 🙂

Great ad, Ali. Poor Jeff. After all his attempts to hide the shameful fact, he drove a moped. 😦 — Suzanne

Aw, poor Jeff. At least it doesn’t have the training wheels still attached…

I’ve always felt bad for Davidson, who got second billing in the company. Nobody ever refers to motorcycles as Davidsons….

What, so it’s not one bloke called Harley Davidson? 🙂

Nope! And I was unaware until looking it up that there were three Davidsons involved… brothers, I’m assuming. And they all still got shafted by Harley…

May be Jeff is not a Harley kind of person. There are people who like a moped too. So what maximum speed is 17 mph. Speed thrills but kills too.
