FF – Accident at the Gazebo

Here is my story for Friday Fictioneers, hosted by Rochelle. This week’s photo was contributed by Dale Rogerson. Click the frog and whatnot.

“Um, darling?”

“Yes, my dearest?”

“I’m… I’m afraid I’ve had a small accident.”

“Accident, my pumpkin? What, pray tell?”

“Your… your… I’ve… I’ve split icing sugar on your gazebo model…”

“MY GAZEBO MODEL? Oh, why, God, why… wait, my little mince pie. It’s Christmas after all! Look, snow on the gazebo!”

“Oh, darling, yes! How pretty!”

“Yes, my precious ice cream sundae! Merry Christmas!”

“Merry Christmas, my darling! I love you!”

“I love you too!”

Smooch smooch slobber etc…

Afterwards…

“Darling, is now a good time to report on the horrible ‘forest fire’ which yesterday consumed your life’s-work London recreation…?”

Yes, I don’t think a smouldering ruin will be as easy a sell as a Christmas wonderland scene 🙂

There may be one more small accident. And then a lifetime of building a new gazebo model within the confines of a prison cell….

And then that awkward smooching scene with his cellmate “Bubba” after he has a small accident with it…

    Dear Ali,

How sugary sweet. I think my blood sugar went up just reading it. I guess now’s as good a time as any to give him the not-so-good news…with a cherry on top.

    Shalom and a Happy Christmas,

      Dear Rochelle,
He certainly is one for the sickly endearments!
After smoochies is usually the best time to deliver bad news 🙂
