Sharing My World 24-02-2020

Here is my post for Melanie’s Share Your World.

Oh boy and lawks a-lordy. When I read a couple of other SYW posts earlier this week and saw the questions I knew I’d have to be on my game vis-a-vis avoidance tactics this week. There’s no way I’m answering a couple of these – far too personal for this bloggie 🙂

What do you think of best friends of the opposite sex? Or to put it another way “Can men and women ever be platonic friends? Doesn’t sex always get in the way?”
I’ve had several platonic female friends. How could they ever resist me, you ask? It’s a strange old world, and no mistake.

What is the greatest struggle you’ve overcome?
It was back in               and I was in the               and the               said               and it was pretty              . Lucky to have               that one, as you can imagine.

I hope the redaction didn’t spoil your understanding of my struggle 🙂

What is the darkest thought you’ve ever had? What about the darkest thing you’ve done that you’ve never told anybody about?
There was that terrifying time I was thinking about a coal mine. That was pretty dark.

What is your least favourite food?
I’m not a big fan of seafood. Shrimp, prawns and so on. I’m okay with fish, though. As long as it’s not one of those posh restaurants where they’ve left the head on 😦

I agree with you about the heads of fish left on, Ali. I don’t enjoy having my meal stare back at me. O_o. — Suzanne

I can never remember the characters to do anything except happy and sad faces 🙂
I had fish in Germany many years ago, and it still had its head. I put a napkin over it.

Thanks Alistair for Sharing Your (redacted) World! 😉 I think your solution was great, personally! You told, and you didn’t…maintaining your anonymity with grace and style! How COULD any woman resist you indeed! 😛 And an old song I used to hear on “Doctor Demento” (ask Evil Squirrel who that is if you like) had lyrics that went
♪♪♪♫♫ FIsh heads, fish heads, roly poly fish heads, fish heads, fish heads, eat them up! YUM! O_o Yeah and you thought YOU were odd….

Those lyrics ring a bell. And I shan’t ever be following them 🙂

You were lucky, indeed, to have escaped that debacle! (I read between the lines.)
I love shrimp and other fish (as you might have guessed) but they must be beheaded beforehand by someone other than me. HAHA I remember that fish head song!

There was more between the lines than in them 🙂
I’ve never really got on with seafood.

Leaving the head on, paying more money for them to do less work 😉

I am glad I have never been to a posh restaurant where fish with thier heads still attached… bad enough the sadness in their eyes as they are gutted. Yes, I know their already dead.

    Loved the redaction essay!

I empathise with your struggle. Quite how you overcame it I shall never know (Well actually I will do when I crack your password to the laptop I stole!)

The greatest struggle I ever overcame was my inability to see through redacted statements. Though I have to say, that’s nowhere near as amazing as what you said up there. My hat’s off to you…
