Sharing My World 02-03-2020

Here is my post for Melanie’s Share Your World.

Can you bake a cake?
Pretty much anyone can bake a simple cake if they have a decent enough oven and a bowl. The one I make basically involves bunging equal amounts of everything in all at once and mixing them together. Very simple! Here’s a photo of one I baked last year.

What’s one thing that can instantly make your day better?
An unexpected and massive injection of cash suddenly turning up in my bank account. That’s never happened though, so I’ll have to settle for the laugh of a small child, the blooming of the flowers, the trilling of the birdies and so on and so forth.

When you were a kid, did you eat the crusts on your sandwich or not?
I can’t remember back that far 😦 I expect I would have been told to eat them whether I wanted to or not.

What’s something your family would be surprised to learn about you?
That I’m actually a highly sophisticated android, though I prefer the term “synthetic person”. My positronic brain is currently operating at 0.01% capacity – any higher and I might accidentally solve the mysteries of the universe thus giving myself away.

None of that is true. Just in case you were wondering.

Douglas Adams strikes again! He is the only famous person who shares my birthday.

I just had a Google and the only names I recognised for my birthday were Rose McIver (New Zealand actress) and Marina Diamandis (one of my all-time favourite singers).

So androids operate at the same brain capacity as politicians. You should try running for office. You just might have a lot of people willing to surprisingly inject large amounts of cash into your bank account then….

I might unintentionally say something sensible and lose the election.

That’s one super-looking cake! I’m assuming you baked it for humans as I’m fairly certain synthetic persons don’t eat cake. (Surely your parents must have noticed you were not eating the bread crusts; a sure sign of the real Alistair being replaced by an android.)

I’m able to simulate the act of eating in order to blend in!

Thanks Alistair for Sharing Your Electronic World with everyone! 😆 You might think a cake is a simple thing to do (positronic brain pan, right? 😉 ) BUT I can say from experience that it isn’t quite that simple for many other people. I’ve unintentionally made ‘rock’ cake – which describes the consistency and not the actual cake. One might have used that particular effort as a weapon. Concrete anyone? I’ll give you milk to wash it all down! 😛

I, too, find the idea (and the reality if it ever happens) of a sudden huge influx of cash into my bank account, very joyful to contemplate. It’d make a lot of things better, not just one day! But wish in one hand….

Thanks again for providing the laughter! Your cake looks delicious by the way…

I just measure everything out, mix it up, throw it in the cake tin and cook it for exactly the time the recipe says. It always seems to work 🙂
      It was pretty tasty 🙂

It’s odd but I’ve never had a lump sum of money I wasn’t expecting show up in my bank account either. Strange. O_o — Suzanne
