FF – Problem Solved

Here is my story for Friday Fictioneers, hosted by Rochelle. This week’s photo was contributed by A. Noni Mouse. Hey, that’s how I spell it too!

That’s the dishes done. Maybe I should put everything away. You’re ever a stickler for cleanliness, aren’t you dear? Oh, how you shout when I do something wrong. And your fists… oh, your fists…

No, I’m going to leave them be. Let them drip dry. I don’t suppose you’ll mind, will you dear? Not after that lovely treat I added to your supper last night.

Speaking of which, I do believe you’re starting to smell. I think I’ll pop you in the garden. Under the new patio, with a nice view of the compost heap.

You always loved the garden, didn’t you dear?

The ideal way to get rid of fist-flinging spouses. The plot location was the cherry on the top 🙂 Superbly told!

My, your vegetables are doing great this year! I’m sorry your husband has been out of town on his new work assignment for so long. I’m sure he would have loved what you did with the garden this year!

    Dear Ali,

The voice is pitch-perfect. So light and airy with a touch of grisly. Loved it, don’t you dear? ;).

    Shalom,

Interesting that most people read this from a female perspective, because I initially read it from a male’s until I thought that was odd and went back a second time to see if you’d even mentioned gender. Oh well, it will make lovely fertilizer…

Yes, my protagonist sounds a little on the edge, a sense of freedom mixed with a sense of “what have I done”.

Oh dear…. I’d be in all sorts of trouble. I drip dry the dishes and sometimes I don’t do the dishes until bedtime (from all day) Some days I just can’t be bothered. There’s only me so there’s no one to judge, complain or poison 😀

I always drip dry the dishes and sometimes don’t do them for a couple of days 🙂 But I’m on my own and therefore safe too!

i think every new house should be built with a patio for just these occassions. Great as usual, Draliman.
