Sharing My World 15-02-2021
Here is my post for Melanie’s Share Your World.
Do you feel you ask enough questions or do you settle for what you know?
I used to ask lots of questions. I still do a bit, though I rarely see anyone to ask questions of these days!
When did you fail to speak up when you feel you should have?
There was this one time I remember at school where I got really annoyed and upset. But that was in the 80s so I should probably let it go now.
When was the last time you felt lucky?
I feel this question should have the word “punk” on the end. I don’t really think about whether stuff is “lucky” or not. Things just happen.
What is a boulder?
Um. A big rock? Apparently, “In geology, a boulder is a rock fragment with size greater than 256 millimetres in diameter.” Which is actually quite small.

Unusual questions this week. In answer to Q3, I like Ben Kenobi’s answer: “In my experience, there’s no such thing as luck.” 😀

He knew a thing or two, that Kenobi fella 🙂

Admit it, Ali. You looked “boulder” up in the dictionary. Or, your hobby could be geology. It could happen. 🙂 — Suzanne

Yeah, I gave it a bit of a Google 🙂

I was sure you’d answer the last Q. with macabre humor (Agatha Christie murder weapon?). Now I’m going to ask my geologist husband about this curious defn. 🙂

Yeah, I can’t remember which site said that, but I always assumed boulders were bigger than that.

I’m pretty sure I’ve had kidney stones that are 256 mm in diameter. Or maybe it just seemed like it…

I think you are rather lucky if you haven’t been annoyed since the 80s. Now watch out for boulders! 🙂

A boulder on the head would annoy me 🙂

Thanks, Alistair for Sharing Your World! There have been a lot of varied ideas about what a ‘boulder’ is. Among those? A smallish (? size being relative) city in Colorado….

I did think of the town but it said “a” boulder 🙂 Apparently 106,000 people (2017), so fairly small for a city.

Every time I count my blessings or see someone else who is suffering a hard ship I realize how lucky i am. I think about it a lot!
I’m not questioning your answer just wondering about mine. lol

Funnily enough I was walking in the countryside yesterday and I counted myself lucky I can do that, not living in the middle of a big city during lockdown.
