Red Sky at Night

Red sky in the morning, shepherd’s warning.
Red sky at night, barn on fire at end of village. Form a bucket line.

Paranoid as always, I’ve blanked out my car’s number plate 🙂

Yes, sometimes the red sky isn’t a sailor’s delight. It’s homeowners’ insurance in action. Lovely sunset !

      Ha, yes!
I could have got a better picture just before the village but I was zooming along at 60 and didn’t want to stop 🙂

Now Alistair, how are people suppose to stalk you if you keep blocking out your license plates? 😉

Ooh, that’s a good point. I wouldn’t want any of my lady admirers to not be able to find me 😉
      Glad you liked the pics!

How much are they selling that tree for?

    Pretty sky 🙂

Ha ha. The tree comes with the house next door, so currently the equivalent of US$207,000 🙂
I raced to get pictures as soon as I got home as the sun was nearly gone!

Good pictures, Ali. Nice neighborhood. I hope you’re not selling your new home already. I take it that FOR SALE sign is for another house. 🙂 — Suzanne

Yes, the “For Sale” sign is for the house next door! I’m still very happy in my little house. The sign is just on the other side of the dividing wall.
Glad you liked the pictures 🙂

Lovely photos, D-man. I’m very fond of sunsets, they’re an encouragement to rest. I love sunrises too, they always mean you’ve survived for another day. Either that is an enormous For Sale sign, or a very small house 🙂

It’s not paranoid to erase the license plate…you never know…

Exactly! I don’t want some ne’er-do-well cloning my plates.

Well, I meant, someone could falsely report your plate or cause other legal harm…but plate cloning, sure.

I lived near a steel plant that often dumped hot slag in the evening. A bright orange sky at midnight is much prettier than any old red sunset! 😉

I’m so jealous. I wished I lived near a hot slag factory 🙂

Getting rained on with silver flakes is another cool fringe benefit. Everything looks so sparkly after a steel shower, you don’t even think about the fact that it’s probably slowly killing you!

I’m all about “the now” so I wouldn’t worry about eventual death as long as everything is sparkly today!

Love your photos, Ali. Red skies are always beautiful, whether morning or night. I really like the sky in the first pic. You’re right to cover your number plate – you don’t want that spread about at all.
I must add that I’ve never heard that particular version of this rhyme!!! I wonder who the author is? 🙂

Nicely done! Blocking the plate allows stalkers to work harder and show their true feelings. Who wants to be stalked by one with no drive and passion!
