Photo Challenge – Grid

I noticed that this week’s Daily Post Weekly Photo Challenge has the subject “Grid” this week and realised I have just the photo!

This photo was taken inside St. Michael’s Mount, looking out through a window.

Thanks! It was a great coincidence that there was a perfect photo from my recent day out.

Thanks! I love these old windows (though I don’t suppose you get much light in).

I don’t know what it is about mullioned windows but they always make a place look more …. timeless somehow, almost gothic. What a beautiful photo! Thanks for sharing.

Yes, they do! It’s nice that they haven’t “upgraded” to double glazing (though it’ll be a listed building so they probably can’t).

Of all of these grid photos I’ve seen on blogs this week, yours reminds me the most of those cheesy line effects they’d put into early 80’s music videos. This week’s photo challenge sponsored by Duran Duran…

You’re the “ye olde” music expert! Now every time I look through one of those, “Hungry Like the Wolf” is going to pop into my head 🙂

I believe the view must have been spectacular through the grid!

Your photo of that window suited this challenge really well. You made good use of it, and it is a lovely photo.

Thanks, I thought it looked nice when I took the photo. It was great that we were allowed to take (non-flash) photos inside St Michael’s Mount. I know in some places you can’t, but the National Trust are pretty good about that sort of thing.

Yes, we’ve found that flash photography isn’t allowed in many places, especially museums. Understandably, I suppose.
