Sharing My World 08-07-2019

Here is my post for Melanie’s Share Your World.

Are you a Summer person? A Winter person? Or one of the other seasons suits you best?
Both seasons are nice. Cosy evenings in with the fire on in the winter, long days and open windows in the summer. The threat of snow and ice leads me to summer, though.

What is your favourite summer time clothing?

No, wait. I mean “nothing in particular”. Not “nothing at all”. Jeans, t-shirt and trainers at home and work. Plus some form of fleece at work for when they switch on the AC and I get chilly.

Do you find yourself eating out more during the summer? Or making โ€˜cold foodโ€™ like salads and stuff you can heat in the microwave?
I generally eat less in the summer, but usually the same sort of stuff.

Do you like watermelon? Whatโ€™s your favourite summertime treat?
Yes, I like watermelon. I also like ice cream, and treated myself to one before my work summer party started a couple of weeks ago. Here it is! It’s Cornish clotted cream and strawberry, double scoop.

    Waffle cones are wonderful!

A work Summer party would indicate that you have at least 2 work parties. I think this is discriminatory as I don’t have any work parties. I may have to complain to the party ombuds(wo)man.

Yep. Summer and Christmas. All paid for by work. Including the bar ๐Ÿ™‚

It must be nice to have a work AC that actually requires extra layers of clothing. At Mecca, they turn the AC off from the home office as soon as the store closes… ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

Isn’t that a hostile work environment and employee abuse, Squirrel? I’d sue…

      That’s a tough break ๐Ÿ™‚ Sorry, I mean ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

๐Ÿ˜€ What do you wear when eating ice cream?

Thanks so much for Sharing Your World! ๐Ÿ™‚ That cone looks AMAZING. I wonder if I could get away with eating one of those…clotted cream and strawberries surely wouldn’t have the same ill effects that ice cream wrecks upon my digestive system, would it?

Sadly it’s clotted cream ice cream. And Cornish clotted cream is very very rich…

That ice cream looks great. Watermelon is my favorite summer food, but too bad it isn’t low-carb.

I kinda assumed watermelon was basically just water…

It’s 10 carbs per cup, which is about half of my daily carbs when I try to stick to keto. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

Good answers, Ali. I used to have some early summer college classes. They used to turn the air conditioning on full blast so I always took a sweater along. —- Suzanne

That ice cream looks so delicious! Maybe I would like summer more if we had Cornish clotted cream ice cream here. It sounds amazing.
