Sharing My World 07-08-2023
Here is my post for Share Your World, hosted by Di.
Does your kitchen have a pantry or utility room?
Nope. It’s a dinky little kitchen in a dinky little house.
How good are you at DIY?
Not good at all. You should see the curtain rail I put up in the bathroom. It’s barely holding on. I accidentally left the drill on “screwdriver mode”, so the holes in the wall aren’t deep enough 😦
Does your home lack something you wish it had? (ie. an open fire, second bathroom, garage, etc)
Yes – twenty more bedrooms, a vast lawn/gardens, a large staff catering to my every need, a heated swimming pool and a helipad. Is that too much to ask? Is it?
Are you an early bird or night owl?
An early bird. My work recently allowed us to work different hours as long as we’re working between 10am and 4pm, so I changed my hours from 9-5 to 8-4. Much better for me.

My hours were 8 to 4 in the bank which worked well as the European offices I was reporting for were an hour ahead of us, so I was working the same hours as them……….. except when we were busy and I was working sometimes until 7pm having started at 7am to meet my deadlines.

That is handy when you can sync your hours to offices abroad.

It worked well for everyone and as New York were five hours behind us, we were all able to keep on top of things and meet our deadlines.

I imagine your chosen working hours are better for travel too, although “rush hour” seems to last for three hours now.

Fortunately travel consists of the 2 metres from my sofa to my desk as I work from home 🙂 But when I do go into the office it is much better, though as you say I have also noticed that “rush hour” seems to start around mid afternoon and lasts until about 6pm these days.

I hear those that work from 10 to 6 get a free helipad as a company bonus…

😀 I agree; having to park the helicopter at the airport instead of on your own property is really annoying.
