Sharing My World 23-12-2024
Here is my post for Share Your World, hosted by Di.
What is the best or worst gift you have ever received?
I always remember my first computer, which I got for my birthday in 1982. It was a Sinclair ZX81.
What is the funniest gift you’ve ever given or received?
I have no idea. I don’t recall ever getting or giving funny gifts.
Do you purchase a gift specifically with a recipient in mind or buy something you like and hope they do?
I always buy for the recipient. To be honest I usually ask what they’d like. Then I get that plus another something small so there’s still a bit of a surprise.
Have you ever recycled/ passed on an unwanted or unsuitable gift?
Not that I remember. I wouldn’t really re-gift. That can come back to bite you on the ass, especially if you forgot who gave it to you and you give it back to them the next year.

Thanks for joining in and sharing your world.
Know what you mean about regifting, though with me it’s cards. Some of the illustrations on Christmas cards are so lovely, I recycle them, so I make my batch for those to be sent out first, before choosing which ones to recycle!
All the best for the coming year.

The recycling back to the original giver sounds like a wonderful idea. You only have to buy gifts twice, and then can regift them to each other every other year. Saves a ton of money and headache in the long run…

I think if anyone gave back the gift to the person who gave it to them, they would never receive another gift. 😀

Or you could send it back again with a sarky note 🙂

MOL…Granny once got her purrezzie back that she gave to her mom. The mom didn’t remember that she got it from our Granny. Granny was very disappointed that her mom did this and wondered what she did with all the other gifts🙈Extra Pawkisses🐾😽💞

Poor Granny. Exactly why I don’t do it 🙂

The thing about re-gifting is being honest about it. People appreciate it, and from my experience more than ok about accepting it. So, it’s a win-win, I guess.

If the recipient knows, it is a good way of recycling.
