Daily Post Weekly Photo Challenge – Room

This week’s photo challenge is “Room”. I thought I’d share before, during and after shots of my bedroom as I moved in.

Messy Bedroom Move

Oh no!

Getting there…

Lazy boy that I am, it took me weeks to put the bed back together 🙂

Al, You’re indeed getting there. The last photo looked lovely. 🙂 —Susan

Still a few job to do, but there always will be, I guess! I’ll put some stuff in the loft next week and then it will look much neater 🙂

It must be a great relief to finally have your new place looking like home 🙂

  3. June 8, 2014 at 8:32 am

The bed is made, nice the bed is together. I’ve so many inappropriate questions, ask in the next life.

    • June 8, 2014 at 8:54 am

Inappropriate questions only in the next life (or via email) 🙂

    Asleep at last then!

    • June 8, 2014 at 8:54 am

The sofa was okay for a couple of weeks, then not so much!

      • June 8, 2014 at 8:56 am

My thoughts were with you! Great day today here . Full sun, almost too bright!

    I like the green walls!

I am used to couch sleeping, so my priority when buying my last one was being able to stretch out on it. 🙂

    • June 8, 2014 at 4:43 pm

Mine is only a two-seater so it was a bit cramped 🙂

  6. June 8, 2014 at 12:07 pm

You’re making progress! Nice to be more or less settled in.

    • June 8, 2014 at 4:44 pm

Just a few odd jobs to do now, nothing major.

  7. June 8, 2014 at 1:14 pm

Good to see you had separate boxes for your medium and large items! 😉

    • June 8, 2014 at 4:46 pm

There was also “small”. All very handy! Of course some of the large boxes had lots of little things inside 😉 I did remember to write what was in them, though, which is pretty organised for me.

It is said that any carton that you don’t unpack within the first 3 weeks after moving you will not open for the next 30 years. I believe that is true. I have boxes that I’ve moved through three houses — still unopened. Now I’m afraid. Who knows what’s in there??

    • June 8, 2014 at 4:47 pm

      Uh oh 🙂
I actually get quite excited to open stuff that’s been lying around for ages.
I’ll be putting stuff in the loft in a couple of weeks when I have my 2 week annual leave so I’ll have to have a quick look inside!

  9. June 12, 2014 at 7:28 pm

Lazy or not, you did it! and that’s all that matters 😉 Granny likes the bed…well, and you can put me anywhere 😀 Pawkisses 🙂

    • June 12, 2014 at 7:35 pm

You’d love the carpet, it’s really thick and soft on one’s paws 🙂

  10. June 16, 2014 at 6:27 am

It looks awesome!! You’ve done a great job putting it all together!
Nothing feels better than getting everything in its place!

Everything’s almost in its place! I have a couple of weeks off now, so I’m going to put a load of stuff up in the attic. Then it’ll be done 🙂

Ok, you do understand having a white iron twin bed is not inviting to the opposite sex? Really!!

    • June 18, 2014 at 5:10 am

It’s a rubbish bed but until I have a few hundred spare pounds for a nice new wooden one I’m stuck with it.

  12. June 18, 2014 at 3:07 am

    Ok , one question.
Have you considered or understand what is implied by a twin bed?

How it might appear to be uninviting to a guest that could possibly peek in there while visiting you? If that guest were checking you out or getting to know you as a future boyfriend.
I’m trying to be do appropriate when I really want to just say it!
It’s difficult for me to be PC.

    • June 18, 2014 at 5:13 am

Fortunately female guests are few and far between so I don’t need to worry about my rubbish bed 🙂
