Sharing My World 2015 Week 32

It’s Share Your World time, and we’re at week 32 already! Soon be Christmas…

Thanks as always to Cee for hosting and posing the questions.

Are you a collector of anything?
I collect neuroses, fears and anxieties of all sorts. I’ve got loads! I’m hoping they’ll be worth something one day.

What is your biggest fear or phobia? (no photos please)
No photos? Boo. Which to choose? New places, new things, change, spiders and creepy-crawlies (obviously). Fear of fear (phobophobia). Sometimes I don’t want to do something because I know it’s going to make me fearful and I don’t like that feeling. It’s like, “fear squared” or something.

Do you prefer reading coffee table books (picture), biographies, fiction, non-fiction, educational?
Fiction for sure. The only non-fiction I read is the news. Reading for me is escape. I don’t want to hear about someone else’s life or whatever.

Blog reading is a bit different, mind, as I feel I “know” my bloggy friends to some extent and I am interested to see what they’re up to. I see that more as keeping in touch with friends.

Complete this sentence: Β If I Must Be Reincarnated, In the Next Life I Want to Be…
… me again! Because I’m me, there’s no point trying to be anyone else. I’d just end up being me again.

I like the answer to the last question. The best answer .

You’re afraid of spiders? Wow; we learn something new about our bloggity friends every day! πŸ˜€

Although I’ve never heard it put that way, I’d say that “fear of fear” makes perfect sense. It’s the survival instinct like not leaning out a high window. If I believed in reincarnation (which I don’t) I wouldn’t mind coming back like Dr. Who (they’re showing reruns of him again here). He always comes back as some neat-looking person with the same abilitites. Well done, Ali. πŸ™‚

Coming back as Dr Who would be cool indeed!

Nice why to think of your blogging friends. I would want to be me again too.

I like keeping up with everyone and checking that they’re okay.

Wait a minute…. you mean the news is non-fiction!?!? I find that hard to believe!

    • August 16, 2015 at 3:22 pm

Sometimes I wish it were fiction…

  6. August 16, 2015 at 3:11 pm

Thanks for sharing with us this week. It is a fun way to keep up with our blogging friends.

    • August 16, 2015 at 3:23 pm

It is a great way to see how everyone is and learn more about them.

  7. August 16, 2015 at 7:07 pm

I think you do not understand, my friend. The NEWS is the biggest fiction of all! Just ask any news guy.

You need a spiderbro. Once you have just one, you will never fear them again. Only love.

    • August 17, 2015 at 11:38 am

They say you should face your fears, but that may be a fear too far!

  10. August 17, 2015 at 1:58 pm

Perhaps you should offer your many neuroses for sale on Amazon, or eBay – although,as you say, their value might increase when they become antiques. I really like your answer to the last question, and totally agree with it. As for spiders, I like them – unlike Louise who freaks out at the mere sight of a tidgy one.

    • August 17, 2015 at 7:44 pm

I think I’ll hold on to my neuroses and see how they appreciate! I’m with Louise on the question of spiders. I wouldn’t mind so much if they didn’t run so fast 😦

ha ha.. lovely answers.. I loved the part of nonfiction and news! πŸ™‚ Last one beats it all. One and unique.

“I collect neuroses, fears and anxieties of all sorts. I’ve got loads! I’m hoping they’ll be worth something one day.” Oh, if only! (On the other hand, always sorry to hear it for other people.)

    • August 25, 2015 at 7:35 pm

I worry about everything! I bet my angst-ridden brain would be liquid gold to the right professional πŸ™‚

      • August 26, 2015 at 3:12 pm

Sort of a play on the Monsters, Inc. movies, except they are harnessing anxiety & worry rather than outright fear/terror. An Anxiety-o-meter. You’re right, sadly. A gold mine, there.

I thought that I would crack up when I saw your fear of fears… I did that one too! I love the fiction categories,,, although I do enjoy reading about the bloggers I follow as well.
