Sharing My World 2016 Week 8
Here are my answers to Cee’s Share Your World challenge.
What household chore do you absolutely hate doing?
Yes 🙂
What was the last URL that you bookmarked?
I don’t tend to bookmark much stuff, to be honest. I can never find the bookmarks when I need them. The only ones I really end up using are the ones which fit along the top of my Chrome browser. I guess the most recent bookmark I added, sometime in the middle of last year, was for a company which scans your websites looking for vulnerabilities. Not very interesting, I’m afraid 😦
Close your eyes. Listen to your body. What part of your body is seeking attention? What is it telling you?
Let’s see… nothing too much right now as I’m reclining on the sofa typing this. If I stood up my brain would be screaming “Posture, dude, you’re walking around like an old man! Stand up straight!” Don’t you just love getting older?
Would you rather have a two-bedroom apartment in a big city of your choosing or a mansion in the country side in the state or country where you currently live?
The two-bed flat sounds like the sort of size I would like, but I wouldn’t like to live in a big city. Living in the countryside sounds great but a mansion would be too big and expensive to maintain. I guess I’ll be staying put!
Well, for the first Sunday in weeks it’s not raining and I’m not going out so I guess I need to wash the car. See question one :-(.

Darn! Didn’t the rain wash the car for you? After it rains here, in the mornings I will run out to my car with a towel and dry it off and it is nice and shiny and clean. LOL!! Of course, you probably have a garage. 🙂

No matter how much it rains, it never seems to make the car any cleaner :-(. Rushing out with a towel sounds like a good plan though!
I do have a garage but it’s full of old furniture, defunct tech and whatnot. I’ve noticed that very few people actually use their garage for putting their car in 🙂

I know! That’s crazy isn’t it? Have a garage but don’t use it for their car.

Question one! What a hoot! I bet ironing is pretty high up on the list 😉

Actually, though I haven’t done any ironing since 2008, I always found it quite therapeutic 🙂

I smiled the moment when I realized that you hate washing your car. That yes in you first answer was confusing (:

I did wash it this morning but didn’t particularly enjoy it. It was very cold, for a start.
The “yes” in the first question was shorthand for “I hate them all”!

It is Sunday here and it’s raining. Enjoy your weather. 😀

It was actually sunny all day, the first time I can remember for ages. The sun is just going down now. It made me feel so much happier and more full of energy just to see it.

Mansion. Can you imagine how much work would be involved? And even if it came with hot and cold running servant … who needs to live with all those people in the house? Privacy? Yikes.

Yeah, I didn’t really want the city flat or the huge mansion!

I hope you enjoyed your first Sunday in weeks that wasn’t raining. It sounds like your recent weather has been similar to ours. Until today. We had more rain. Oh, well. At least I didn’t feel like I should do yard work.

It’s sunny here today as well! For the moment, anyway. I got the car washed. It’ll be filthy again the next time it rains – the little road I drive on to get to the main road to work is covered with muck from tractors and quarry lorries 😦

Haha. Fun read, Ali. 🙂 Your “Posture, dude…” made me chuckle. Enjoy the rest of your Monday!

I love your answer to the first question – I have to agree completely! And I think a two bedroom cottage in the country would be a better place to live. 🙂

A two bed country cottage would be perfect. Just the right size and beautifully located (until someone builds an industrial estate next to it, which I’ve seen in the news a couple of times recently).

Loved the “yes.”
Washing the car, eh?
Really?
I really enjoyed your answers to all the questions.

I’m not a household chore fan 🙂
I did wash the car but now it’s almost as filthy as it was before I started. It was good while it lasted!

Why, Ali, how can you possibly not like housework? Lol To be honest, I’ve met very few people who do. (Washing the car isn’t housework, is it? Our car wouldn’t fit through the front door 🙂 )
Totally agree with your answer to Q.3. City life isn’t for everyone … or life in an over-sized house. As for growing old – I won’t tell you what I think of that!

Don’t like it, don’t do it 🙂 I have to wash the car because it’s visible to “outsiders”!
A nice two-bedroom house in the country would do me.
