Limerick Challenge – Future

Here is my contribution to Mind and Life Matters’ Limerick Poetry Challenge, which this week features the word “future”.

If I could become future me
Just think of the wonders I’d see!
(Though I’d be very old
I could die from a cold)
So maybe I’ll just leave it be.

Maybe try just becoming you five seconds into the future. I think you’ll be pretty safe then…

Awesome limerick! But, I certainly don’t want you dying from a cold, so let the future be where it is now! 😀

You have a knack for the limerick. It is one of the poem models that I have to teach at school. It is – by far- that hardest!

I wish we’d done limericks at school. A lot more fun than sonnets 🙂
