Sharing My World 12/06/2023
Here is my post for Share Your World, hosted by Di.
Are you happy in your neighbourhood?
Yes, it’s a nice, quiet place to live with lots of greenery.
Have you got good neighbours?
Yeah, they’re okay. Quite quiet, friendly enough.
Are your neighbours nosy or standoffish?
Neither, really. I don’t really know them that well but we smile, say “hi” and have a chat about the weather and what-not when we see each other.
Could you rely on your neighbour in an emergency?
Possibly. I guess it depends on the nature of the emergency. One neighbouring family has a roofing/general handyman business so they’d be able to perform some emergency repair if something of that nature happened. One of them popped across and helped me fix my garage door once when it got stuck, though I don’t think that really counts as an emergency.
And to finish, here’s a couple of photos I took on the “Enchanted Fairy Trail” in the neighbouring city of Truro, which I visited while waiting for my car to be serviced.

It was very peaceful. And quite near the main road too, though I couldn’t hear any traffic.

The trees probably help to mute the sound.

You should have a lot more “emergencies” while your neighbor is outside and see what all you can get fixed for free…

Now there’s an idea. I just need to make sure I don’t break something for fixing that I need, in case he tells me to stuff off…

Almost everywhere I have ever lived, my neighbours were like the ones described in the Rolling Stones song. 😀
Beautiful photos!

Lovely pictures, and nice someone came over to give you a hand with your troublesome garage door. Thanks for joining in.
Is that Truro UK? We looked at some properties there in 2007.

Yes, Truro UK. Not Nova Scotia 🙂

Have you had any of the really bad weather? We had thunderstorms (finally) yesterday, all for 25 minutes!

Nope, no really bad weather for me. It finally rained a bit last night, but that’s it. No sign or sound of thunderstorms yet,

When you live in the country, you really don’t see your neighbors very often unless you both have kids the same age.

That’s true. Maybe just at a distance, out in the fields.

We say hello at the mail box, but now, with one neighbor passed and it looks like their house is unoccupied, even less. No one has the adjacent mailbox to ours.

Having nice neighbours makes living in the neighbourhood more easy, right Draliman😸 Your pictures are outstanding! We love that wooden deer, Granny thought he was real when she first saw it on her cellphone, but now she can see it better on the computer🙈😸Double Pawkisses for a Happy Week ahead🐾😽💞
