Sharing My World 26-06-2023
Here is my post for Share Your World, hosted by Di.
What colour are you wearing today?
Dark blue. I’m usually in blue, black and grey. I sometimes wear a white t-shirt as it came in a pack of three (the other two are dark blue and grey), but that’s as light as it gets.
Will you be cooking lunch today, having something cold, or going out to eat?
I never cook lunch. I always have a cheese and meat roll or similar and then maybe a cooked tea.
Does hot weather drain your strength or agree with you?
It drains me somewhat and I lose my appetite a bit too. Hot weather is very nice but it does have its drawbacks. Though with energy prices the way they are, hot is definitely better than having to decide whether or not to switch on the heating.
Do you have air conditioning in your property?
No. I don’t know anybody who has air conditioning in their house. It never gets hot enough for long enough where I live to make it worth the cost.

I wear black most of the time. Someone asked if I was in a cult. I told them I was a ninja in my spare time.
I only like Summer if I’m near a beach. 🙂

“The Ninja Mermaid”. I like it, I’d watch that show 🙂

Thanks for joining in again. I wear mainly dark colours, but have just bought some new tees, two in salmon pink and the other a pale lemon.

No AC? I would die in the summer. Today it got up to 90°F that’s 32°C. It does not get that hot there?

Further up the country I think it managed 40C in some places last year (which was very unusual) but not down here. It does occasionally hit 30C but not often. Blistering heatwaves in Cornwall are usually around 25-27C.

We call that perfect weather.

Draliman, we always wear the same colours, but in style😺😸 We don’t have AC either, only a fan, even though it gets hot in our Country. Double Pawkisses for a Happy Week ahead🐾😽💞

Of course you’re always in style 🙂 It gets hotter than here where you are, I hope there’s plenty of shade in your garden!

The hot weather question was a jinx this week as the day after I talked about how much I hate our hot and humid weather… the hot and humid weather conjured up a nasty storm that put me in the dark ages for the weekend. It’s a good thing you have that one white T shirt for when it gets up to a blistering 25 (I keep my thermostat higher than that in the summer)….

The dark ages like a weekend of blackout? 😮
It’s back to black t-shirts as the temperature has dropped back to 18C after a couple of nice hot weeks.

You’re lucky. Parts of England got a lot hotter than normal as did many places in Europe. So far, we are having — surprise! — a cooler than average summer.

We did just have the hottest June on record. It never got over around 25C here in Cornwall though, not the 40C it hit elsewhere in England. Cornwall has too much sea around it.

A lot of our hot weather got blown out to see or swerved north. I’m just grateful it hasn’t been unbearable. It CAN be. We get a lot of humidity with heat, so it may not be officiallyhot, but it feels like an oven.
